00:00One million bricks from Birmingham's former City Hospital are being given a new life at Birmingham City Football Club's planned
00:08powerhouse stadium.
00:10Specialists have cleaned, sorted and restored the bricks after the hospital closed in 2024.
00:16They will help construct 12 chimney-style towers designed to reflect the city's industrial heritage.
00:22The stadium will be the centrepiece of Birmingham's proposed sports quarter, hosting football, sport and entertainment events.
00:31The club says the bricks were originally made at Adderley Park Brickworks, close to the development site.
00:37Their history, manufacture and journey will also be documented and displayed within the new complex.
