00:31First Margo is a huge bulk carrier measuring around 229 meters in length.
00:37The fishing vessel, by comparison, is approximately 49 meters long.
00:43The collision is believed to have happened on September 17, near one of the world's busiest maritime routes.
00:50According to vessel tracking data, both ships had departed enterprises around Singapore at roughly the same time.
00:59They then entered the traffic separation scheme, the designated shipping channel used to organize vessel movements through the Singapore Strait.
01:08And then, something went seriously wrong.
01:11Video apparently reported from the fishing vessel shows the massive bulk carrier moving toward the smaller boat.
01:19Within moments, the two vessels collide.
01:22The impact is dramatic.
01:24The smaller fishing vessel suddenly tips sharply as the force of the collision sends water sweeping across its deck.
01:32People on board appear to scramble for stability, desperately holding on as the vessel rocks from the impact.
01:38The video ends shortly after the collision, leaving the full extent of the damage unclear.
01:45But available tracking information offers one important indication.
01:50The Luching Yunyu 108 appears to have remained afloat after the crash.
