Missile and drone attacks targeted areas including Taif and Khamis Mushait during the recent escalation between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthi forces. Saudi authorities reported that air-defense systems thwarted attacks in several locations, while earlier attacks injured 13 civilians in Taif, Khamis Mushait and Abha.
Footage circulating online appears to show projectiles crossing the sky over Saudi cities. Claims that Saudi air defenses completely “failed” are not independently established, and the exact origin and outcome of the projectiles in the video should be treated cautiously.
