00:15What feeling are you about good and about performance?
00:21Disappointed we didn't win the game, we come to win the game.
00:23I think we did a lot in the game to warrant winning it really, the opportunities we created.
00:28The goalkeeper was probably man of the match with the saves that he's ended up making.
00:31We hit the post a couple of times and we should have been ahead of the game really for that.
00:38Second off they had the little phase really and then the goal is what it comes from and unfortunately on
00:45goal.
00:45The response after that I was really pleased with the way we went about trying to get back into the
00:51game.
00:52Even though it came late I thought the boys did well with that.
00:57We kept the ideas, kept the patience, kept the real purpose to it and got something from it which would
01:02finish on a positive.
01:03It's a small step for us without getting carried away but it's a good step.
01:08We came to take three and at least we've taken something from the game to build on moving forward.
01:13You talked about a positive step, how kind of helpful that will be going into the break after that.
01:18That has been a slight challenge in three weeks in your goals.
01:22Yes, it's not been ideal. I've said it before, I think it was always going to come at some point.
01:28It always came at the start of the season where on the other side of it we're looking at it.
01:32We're going Everton, 25 yard shot, top corner, City goal, that's not a goal.
01:36Today on goal, that's one of them things.
01:40It's pretty fine margins that have flipped it as well.
01:44I know we can do better, we need to do better at certain things.
01:48But at the same point I'm not despondent and down because I think we've shown some good signs as well.
01:54Hi, Michael.
01:55As I said in one of those interviews after the game that they had more energy than you for periods
02:00of the game.
02:01Obviously the running stats got highlighted towards the end of the last week as well.
02:04Is that something you can put your finger on at the minute?
02:06Is fitness a concern with the way the game has played out?
02:09No, I don't particularly really. The way we finished the game actually, it didn't look like that for me.
02:16I was quite happy the way we finished the game. I thought we finished the game really strong actually and
02:19kept pushing.
02:20So I don't think that's an issue.
02:24It's obviously been a challenging week for the players, but the way they finished the game,
02:28the characters in the first half have shown to get the equaliser.
02:31So I imagine it would have been very easy tonight, not down to all, but to kind of get down
02:35on themselves.
02:35Did it show you that whatever happens to the rest of the season, that they've got that kind of personality
02:38to dig you out of situations?
02:40No, it's a big thing and without getting carried away with it,
02:44because we've taken the point we wanted to win, but it's part of learning as a group.
02:50As I said, it's the first time when we've had a spell of a couple of weeks, it's a pretty
02:56short spell,
02:57but we've had a little spell when results haven't quite gone to plan.
03:00And you learn about each other. They learn about me because we haven't had that.
03:04I learn about them individually as a team, how we respond, what it looks like moving forward,
03:09what our reaction is, all that. That's part of growing as a group.
03:14And you have to go through certain things to get to the end of it.
03:18And definitely today it could have gone in a different direction, 100% it could.
03:24I was really pleased with the response and I think that will help us a lot moving forward.
03:30And it's in there, you know. It's in there now. The lads have felt it. I've seen it.
03:36So it's encouraging moving forward, even though how small it is to take a point from.
03:41Sorry, Michael. It seemed like there were boos from the away end when Kobe was taken off.
03:47Did you hear that and do you understand that?
03:51Yeah, there's always going to be certain reactions when you're making changes.
03:54I think Kobe played well, to be honest. So it was just more of that last stage of the game.
03:58We're trying to make something happen and Kobe understands that, you know.
04:04He's fine. I spoke to him after the game about it. He's absolutely fine.
04:07He's all about the team and what's best. And it's just one of them things.
04:11I understand at times when you're chasing the game, everyone's a little bit emotional.
04:15The supporters are. So they should be, you know.
04:17They're desperate for us to do the right thing.
04:20But I don't take any negatives or offence to it.
04:24I think we've just got to try and keep doing the right things to get back into the game.
04:28And the supporters were unbelievable today, I have to say, all the way through.
04:31And stuck with the boys and supported the boys.
04:34At least we gave them something small at the end to take from it.
04:37And I'm sure there's more to come.
04:39Michael, do you understand if there's a sense amongst supporters, a bit of deflation?
04:46Manchester United came into the new season, qualified for the Champions League.
04:50Everybody was upbeat. Pre-season, you said they'd gone bad.
04:54And then you're talking about now, it's a couple of weeks, but Hull wasn't great.
04:58And that's kind of four or five weeks ago.
05:02You've got to the end of this spell, five points from five games.
05:05You have to look up.
05:06You understand that, kind of, we've built ourselves up for a big season.
05:12And this is not what we expect.
05:14It's still a big season ahead, Simon, to be fair.
05:17You know, it's a long season. You're going to have spells through a season.
05:21That's part of the journey through a season.
05:23It's not a sprint, you know. It's a long effort, I think.
05:29Of course, I'm not playing it down, you know. We wanted more points from it.
05:32So, I'm not saying everything's great.
05:35But it's...
05:37I understand the frustration. Of course I do.
05:39You know, because we wanted to be better and we wanted to do other things.
05:42But deflation, I think, is certainly not what we have within the club and within the group.
05:47And the players didn't have that on the pitch today.
05:49That's what will carry us through the season, without doubt.
05:51So, that's one for Chris.
05:53Come back, Paul.
05:54And today, no Cesco. Any up-play there?
05:57Is it the Schoen again?
05:58And in hindsight, any kind of concern or questions from your point of view
06:02that you maybe should have signed the striker during the summer?
06:07No, I think just because he's getting injured or a setback in certain positions,
06:11you know, you can't sign every position for cover.
06:16We're not sure with Ben yet. He felt a bit of pain after the game.
06:20We're assessing him at the moment. He definitely wasn't ready for today.
06:24So, I haven't really got any more news to give you at this point.
06:28We'll have to see what that brings.
06:30But is it the same Schoen again?
06:32It was a pain in his Schoen again.
06:34Alright, thanks everyone.
06:35Alright, cheers.
