00:06The original character to this was made in a software called MateHuman.
00:11What I've done, I took a photograph of that inside of 3D Hero.
00:18Just in case you're interested. I sent it over to a website called Meshly,
00:23and I created a second model from the original.
00:26So this is the DIY version of Emma.
00:30So she's gone from a photo, I want to show you, to a 3D model.
00:36Now Meshly does a really great job on the model.
00:40You can do a great job on the hair.
00:42The hands, yes the hands are pretty great.
00:45But the feet, yeah.
00:48The problem with the feet is all of the toes are not separate.
00:52All of the toes are one single mesh.
00:55Now I'd like to tell you about the software and about how I go about doing it.
01:01Of course, there might be a different way to do it.
01:03So you can have the fingers and the toes.
01:07So, how do I do my content?
01:09All of my content is aimed at free.
01:12It's all free content.
01:14As I said, this is Emma.
01:15As I said, she comes in two different versions.
01:17One, she's actually the same.
01:20One got a ponytail.
01:22That's the original.
01:24This one does not have a ponytail.
01:26She's only got the butt on the back of her head.
01:30Okay, so if you're interested, you can download Emma's assets.
01:34Emma's assets, at the moment, are not too many of them.
01:38But soon, she'll have loads of assets.
01:40Like the watches, the bracelets, the hair bands, and everything else to go with your girl.
01:47You have different clothes, so you can change your clothes.
01:50Her body parts are all separate.
01:53I've got all of the body parts completely separate.
01:56So, let's say you make a model like this.
01:59And there's a problem with it.
02:00If there is.
02:02Like my body, Emma, the one I created over in Make Human.
02:06She can move her feet.
02:08She can move her toes.
02:10Of course, this one can't do that.
02:12She can do almost everything that Emma can do.
02:15Apart from move her feet.
02:17Not that it's a problem in the game world.
02:18Because in most game worlds, you wear shoes.
02:21But not in my game world.
02:22In my game world, there ain't no shoes.
02:25You can actually go and get shoes if you want to.
02:29Or ideally, there's no shoes in the game.
02:32Just an extra accessory.
02:34If you want to add it to the character.
02:37So, how would I go about changing the feet?
02:40Well, what I would do, I would go to Emma's archive.
02:43Now, Emma's original archive.
02:46Because she's made, like I said.
02:47In a program called Make Human.
02:50Make Human gives you the choice.
02:52Whether to keep the whole body.
02:54Or whether to just keep the face.
02:56The hands.
02:58And the feet.
02:59Well, I decided to keep the whole body.
03:02For the simple reason is.
03:04I don't just want the face.
03:06The hands.
03:06And the feet.
03:07I also need the legs.
03:10Just in case my character wears a pair of shorts.
03:13So, if she wears shorts.
03:14Of course, I'm going to need a bit of leg.
03:16And I'm going to need the carton.
03:18That's what I need.
03:19I need more than just a hand.
03:22I need the arm itself.
03:25Because if she wears a certain type of t-shirt.
03:28Or a vest.
03:29Of course, you're going to see a bit more of the top area.
