00:06a mechanism that includes the participation of 44 states in the promotion and defense of the rights of

00:16Colombia's withdrawal from the Equal Rights Coalition does not in any way mean
00:20a setback in terms of rights for the LGBTI population.
00:26On the contrary, Colombia has a very robust body of rights protected by the political Constitution,
00:33public policies and a series of regulations, as well as rulings of the Constitutional Court,
00:37that protect minorities based on sexual orientation.
00:41In this sense, the aim is that after a prioritization and identification exercise
00:47of what the most important and highest priority aspects of foreign policy are,
00:51It was determined that participation in this mechanism was not a priority.
