01:12the testing lab should be contained and products should not be released to the public until it's ready to be
01:18used by the public and that's that's engineering good old-fashioned engineering is not more than that it's not less

01:31now safety is paramount those of us building ai must test systems rigorously protect privacy anticipate misuse and secure the
01:41infrastructure society will depend on when a product is not safe enough we should hold it back and keep engineering
01:51we've always done that we should continue to do that this is a very new technology and there are a
02:08lot of unknowns and uncertainties and there are things that even the top scientists in the field don't fully understand
