00:00You know, in thinking about what we could talk about today, I talked to my boss last night, President Trump.
00:08Who, by the way, has a romance with your president, President Erdogan.
00:14And what all of you have done, and what this amazing team has done, not in the last 18 months,
00:25but in 100 years, is quite remarkable.
00:29And that's really, rather than some political dialogue that I can give you about the tribute to our revolution, it's
00:38a tribute to great people moving outside of any system.
00:43And when we talk about John Adams and George Washington, the beauty of the American Revolution, and the Declaration of
00:54Independence, you have to really stop and think about what happened in 1923 in Turkey.
01:01At the end of World War I, you had a revolution.
01:06And you had an amazing man named Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
01:11And you had a revolution.
01:14And that revolution then blossomed into a republic.
01:18The only difference is, the Declaration of Independence had a blending in people from all over the world.
01:26So this amazing confluence of the ability to take different tribes, different cultures, different religions, and have them somehow blend
01:36to a common denominator, was easier in a way.
01:40Because it was a new country.
01:43Here it was regaining a country that you had always had.
01:47So from the Ottoman Empire and Turkey's dominance from one form of government, to reclaiming it for its people to
01:55another, it's the same story as America.
01:58Exactly the same road.
