00:17empezamos con una historia que
00:19llega a su segunda temporada y
00:21que desde la primera nos metió
00:23en una especie de misterio porque
00:25no lograbamos entender con el
00:26primer capítulo hasta que
00:28empezamos a ver más de la
00:29materia oscura. Materia oscura,
00:31me encanta, Apple TV, y bueno,
00:33básicamente es, ¿qué pasa si hay
00:35una caja en donde te puedes
00:37meter? Y de repente empiezas a
00:40aparecer en diferentes, o sea,
00:41en diferentes versiones de tu
00:42historia. Sí son los
00:44multiversos, pero no con
00:45superhéroes, y es más bien una
00:46historia familiar, física,
00:49cuántica, y familia. Y los
00:50protagonistas son Joel Edgerton y
00:52Jennifer Connelly. La verdad es
00:54que está muy interesante lo que
00:56hicieron en esta segunda
00:57temporada porque pues en la
00:58primera, todo acabó, digamos, sin
01:01muchos spoilers, con él teniendo
01:03que enfrentarse a él mismo una y
01:04otra vez. Exacto. Y aquí, y aquí,
01:07que ellos nos cuenten.

01:45Oh, man. When you think about the possibilities
01:48of, you know, there being all this other
01:52ability to access other versions of your own
01:55life, I just don't want to walk through that
01:59door. And in fact, I think season two, one of
02:03the ideas becomes, right? Well, just because you
02:06have the avenue to escape in the technology, why
02:11should it be an option? You know, shouldn't
02:14you wrestle with the complications of the
02:17world you have? So I think I'm happy with the
02:21world I'm in and I'll try and make it suit
02:24me. And right now it suits me well. Yeah, I'm
02:27not sure in reality I would want to, I would
02:31want to experience that. But I think it's a fun
02:35thing to explore in a show. You know, I'm
02:38thinking about, you know, it affords us the
02:41ability to have some spectacular worlds and
02:44crazy adventures and lots of action and
02:49surprising things and creativity and
02:51imagination. And then also some, ask some
02:54really interesting questions about home and
02:57identity and trust and all of that. So yeah,
03:03maybe not so fun in real life, but for a
03:05show, I think it's been great fun. As actors, it
03:08must be amazing to be able to pray, play
03:10you against yourself so many times. And
03:14obviously, Jennifer, you against the
03:16uncertainty of who you're talking to, right?
03:19Yeah, I liked in the first season, one of the
03:24things I really liked was that we had this
03:25sort of this show that takes us to so many
03:28literal different worlds. But then at the
03:30center of it was this very small domestic
03:32world of this marriage. And I'd like that
03:36combination of elements. And I think
03:37everything in season two is just kind of, we
03:40have all those aspects of season one, but
03:41they're more amplified. So I think we go
03:43deeper into the marriage and deeper into
03:46the, you know, the exploring the ramifications.
03:51We should touch on that a little bit at the end
03:53of season one, but you know, we really delve into
03:56that in season two.

04:31historia y de estas temporadas, se traslada
04:34ahora a otra parte de Estados Unidos para
04:36investigar lo que está ocurriendo con un
04:39periódico local. A ver, dime algo, entonces
04:41este equipo de documentalistas es real o son
04:44personajes detrás de la cámara? Son
04:46personajes. El personaje de quien estaría
04:49haciendo el documental del día a día. Ajá. Ahora
04:51deja de irse a la oficina, ya se salió también
04:54de la de Jero, aquí en México, bueno, no más
04:56calientes. Exacto. Y ahora se ponen a un
04:58periódico. Exacto, a un periódico local en
05:00Estados Unidos para investigar lo que está
05:02pasando con los medios impresos, con la
05:04oficina del, con la redacción misma. Y
05:07bueno, esta historia está protagonizada por
05:09Sabrina Impachatore y ella nos cuenta
05:12precisamente sobre cómo está abordado ahora
05:15este, este fenómeno del universo de The
05:18Office, este mockumentary, que es como el
05:20falso documental como está filmado, y esto
05:22es lo que nos comenta de la extensión del
05:24estado.

05:46you think journalism is still so important
05:50even, even though we are, even though we are, we are, the
05:54way we get the information is changing by
05:57this.
05:59Yes. I mean, all society is changing and so we
06:03have to adapt to every little change. I think
06:07journalism and especially local journalists,
06:11journalists is really important and maybe it arrives
06:17where bigger journalists doesn't. It takes, it takes, let's
06:24say, more care of what's happening around. It's about the
06:28community. And I think that this, this show is, is a little
06:33celebration also of that.
06:35That's true. So your character understands power very, very well
06:41inside the newsroom. What do you think she really wants? Power,
06:45recognition, or simply proving that she belongs there?
06:50That's a very good question. I think she needs everything.
06:55I think she would like to be, to have power and recognition. To me, the
07:03answer is to be accepted, to be, to be loved, to be more solid. She's a
07:13single mom in a foreign country. And so I imagine her life like an everyday
07:21struggle. She sees enemies everywhere only because I think she feels
07:26threatened. She's scared to lose what she has. Sometimes you have something in
07:34your life and you don't want to lose it. You know, you just want to keep that
07:40position going on because you feel that that's your life and you want to keep
07:45going with that. And Esmeralda sees people that could make her lose what she
07:57has. And so she has to protect herself. This is how I see her. Maybe I'm wrong, but I see
08:03her like that. Idea millonaria, Ivette. Que después de de que ya si tres, cuatro
08:09temporadas de esto. Y y y hagan la versión mexicana aquí en Milen. Claro,

08:27lo interesante es saber cómo están abordando la la actualidad de los medios
08:31impresos. Entonces, esto se me hace muy muy atractivo. Hay mucho que contar. Hay mucho que contar.
08:36Pero bueno, vamos con la otra, la otra. De paper en HBO Max. Ahora regresemos a
08:42Apple TV, Susi, porque esta plataforma siempre nos ofrece cosas impresionantes. Se
08:47acaba de estrenar una historia que se llama Last Scene. Es por vista por última vez. Vista
08:53por última vez. Exactamente. Es la primera serie que Apple desarrolla íntegramente en
08:57Australia. Ok. Y es un true crime, pero está súper está revolucionando de las normas
09:04del género, porque tú sabes que el true crime se centra en la investigación de lo que
09:08ocurrió con la desaparición, en este caso, de una niña. Oye, los australianos son tremendos
09:12para eso. Si tú ves 60 minutos australiano, bueno, es muy fuerte. Es un escandalazo cada
09:16cosa, pero sí es fuerte. Entonces, están revolucionando un poco el género para centrarlo más en temas
09:23que tienen que ver con la culpa y con lo que las familias se quedan cuando una persona
09:27desaparece. Ok. En este caso, es la hija de un hombre de una familia desaparece y 10 años
09:34después hay pistas que lo llevan a pensar que su hija está viva. A partir de eso, se desarrolla
09:41toda la trama. Son seis episodios que son muy fuertes relacionados con todas estas emociones y
09:46situaciones que puede vivir una familia cuando uno de sus integrantes desaparece. Y esto es parte
09:51de lo que comentan los miembros del elenco.
09:55Si te preocupes de nosotros, no te van a decir a nadie sobre esto. ¿Qué sobre las
10:00deducciones? No encontramos nada. ¿Dónde conseguiste esto?
10:03Tiene un alibi muy fuerte. Tiene solo un poco de nervios en ti. Y la risa.
10:10La primera pregunta que tengo es que has ido de la comedia a un carácter que tiene este
10:17mucho grief y trauma. ¿Qué quieres tomar en este rol? ¿Cuál es lo que buscó en este
10:24momento en este momento en tu carrera?
10:26No, no es mucho de un planer, así que no lo buscó en este caso.
10:31As any actor will tell you, if they're thinking about me for the role, I'm interested.
10:37I learned it was Apple, you know. Apple have a great track record and they're coming
10:41to Australia to tell an Australian stories. That's exciting.
10:44And then once I got to look at the material, I was a little bit scared because it's such
10:51an emotionally vibrant and dark world to enter, but really excited as well, because I haven't
11:00done anything like this for a long time, you know. And you're right, I've done a lot
11:04of comedy. People maybe know me more for comedy, but I trained in drama and everything,
11:09it's theatre. Well, this is a challenge, you know, and to bring these characters to the
11:15screen and to try to get the audience to connect. You know, as an actor, you always want the
11:21audience to care and understand and whether you want them to understand before they care
11:27or care before they understand and to look at, you know, the thing that they did or the
11:33act that they performed, but then, you know, lure the audience into a family that they might
11:41actually identify.
11:44Yeah, I suppose it's, isn't it, it's an expose as well into grief and how, I think interestingly,
11:53you know, you've got, you know, there's two men sort of leading the charge, but behind those
11:57two men, there's these two mothers who, in their ways, you know, in many ways, they've put
12:05their ego, I think as many women do, in their back pocket and decided, you know, they've got
12:13to get on with what they've got to get on with.
