00:00I think my city's tap water is slowly killing me and my family. Our water quality was ranked
00:04bottom 2% in the whole state which is why I'm installing a reverse osmosis under sink filter
00:10system. This ended up being way easier to install than I thought. I started with the hard part of
00:14drilling the countertop. Now I'm mounting the four stage filter. The instructions say to mount this
00:19four inches off the base of the cabinet so that you can replace the filters easily. I clearly did
00:24not do that but I have my reasons. I ended up having to take apart this trap so I could
00:28fit
00:28in the tank. This tank holds your filtered water and it also has some type of air bladder to give
00:32it good pressure. Without the tank the water would come out of the spout in a slow trickle.
00:37Next I'll be installing this dirty water discharge hose. It is very important you install this before
00:43the trap and not after the trap. I also made sure that the hose poked a little bit into the
00:48pipe but
00:48not too far and I don't even know if that's the right way of doing it. Connecting the tank was
00:52simple just screw it on and push to connect. I would like to say that the instructions came with a
00:56nice
00:56diagram. It clearly spelled out exactly where each hose connects. This is probably a good time to
01:01tell you that I'm not being paid to make this video but if you were to buy this through my
01:05amazon
01:06storefront linkedin bio I would make a small commission. It was nice that this specific setup
01:10came with every part and piece that you needed. I didn't have to try to find any specific valves or
01:15parts or connectors or whatnot and since I know someone's going to comment about this I don't care
01:20about using a smooth jaw channel locks. I like when all my fittings look like they've been chewed on.
01:25Now that the water's turned back on I'm just checking for leaks. I also read online that you
01:29want to run three to five gallons through this system before you start drinking the water.
01:33The water is actually so heavily purified and flat tasting that we actually bought some trace
01:37minerals to add back to the water for flavor. Next up I'm going to be installing a full house filter
01:42and a water softener because my plumbing fixtures are taking a beating and I don't want to shower in
01:46this filth.
01:47So I'm going to have to take a moment, go to try to put a new diagram for the water
01:47for the water.
01:47So I'm going to have to start to try to cover all the water and water.
01:47Yeah, I'm going to be using some water from water, but I'm having water to bene Bit of water for
01:47the water.
01:47So I'm going to do the water for the water for the water.
