00:00Industry, I think, will have to engage a lot more with their counterparts elsewhere in the world
00:08to get a sense of the environment in which they are operating.
00:14I say this deliberately because 7.8% quarter one growth is not a random number.
00:24And I don't take the credit from my side or the government side.
00:30I give the entire credit to the people of India, the hard working industry, small MSME and everybody.
00:39It's the sheer dint of hard work that is working out.
00:43But of course policies are the framework or the rail track on which the train moves.
00:50The reason why I'm saying industry should talk and be in touch with their counterparts elsewhere
00:56is you know how difficult and challenging the environment everywhere is.
01:06I'm not saying it's an industry.
01:07It could be observers of the Indian economy or it could be some in the media who say,
01:15oh my god, no, India is not okay here, India is not okay there.
01:20Yes, of course India is not okay here and probably not okay somewhere else.
01:24And it's our business to work together to set it all right.
01:29But the continuing commentary which is a negative commentary saying,
01:33nothing is happening in this country, itself is something which I worry about
01:39because environment due to the hard work shows you reaching 7.8.
01:44Environment due to the hard work of our people is again helping the GST collections.
01:51And that after bringing all the rates down in the last year's reform.
01:57But unless you understand, unless all of us understand the challenges which prevail all over the world
02:04and in India, let me say this with a certain dedication and commitment and absolute belief,
02:14the certainty that this government has brought having been elected for the third time,
02:20and a tax policy certainty which is the belief that Prime Minister constantly advises me with,
02:28India is far better placed despite all these challenges around in the world.
02:33So if you would exchange your thoughts with your counterparts elsewhere,
02:39you understand the challenges are there for everybody.
02:43And countries are navigating in extremely challenging times.
02:48And therefore industry should retain its confidence that Government of India stands with you.
02:56And it is willing to hear you, it is willing to respond to you.
03:00And therefore business should have their confidence intact and move forward.
03:06It is not going to be easy in the next six months, as you all know,
03:10just without elaborating on this one answer so much.
03:14There are the tariff threats, there are three wars going on,
03:22hormones is a big complication, crude and fertilizer which are so critical for us
03:30making up for the biggest imports for this country.
03:32So, thank you very much.
