00:00Speak's a really big, ambitious game and follows through with very little.
00:04They seem to take a lot of credit for a lot of things they didn't do.
00:06Now, that doesn't mean that they don't have bad actors that are always out there.
00:10But you have China's probably the worst when it comes to Cyprus.
00:14North Korea is probably the second worst.
00:16Russia doesn't do it directly, but they have a tremendous amount of proxies that
00:19they allow to have safe haven in their banking systems and inside their country.
00:27I have a question about cybersecurity and the ongoing world of law.
00:32We saw possible attacks or suspected attacks against water infrastructure in Minnesota this summer.
00:39What is Homeland Security doing to prevent those times of ongoing cyber attacks?
00:46Well, our cyber infrastructure is always an attack.
00:49And because of CISA, it falls within Department of Homeland Security,
00:52we take care of everything from the sea to cyber to air and to land.
00:59And so we're constantly dealing with all these threats.
01:01I think Iran specifically speaks a really big, ambitious game and follows through with very little.
01:07They seem to take a lot of credit for a lot of things they didn't do.
01:10Now, that doesn't mean that they don't have bad actors that are always out there.
01:13But you have China is probably the worst when it comes to Cyprus.
01:18North Korea is probably the second worst.
01:19Russia doesn't do it directly, but they have a tremendous amount of proxies that they allow to have safe haven
01:24in their banking systems and inside their country.
01:28And Iran is greatly weakened.
01:31They don't have near the ability that they claim to have or used to have because of President Trump trying
01:40to eliminate that threat.
01:42And they have been threatened in the United States for 49 years.
01:46But we prevent thousands of attacks daily.
01:51But every time we prevent an attack, that just means that they decided that way doesn't work and they're looking
01:56for a different way.
01:58Underneath President Trump's leadership, we have decided that we're not going to just set back and be defensive only.
02:06We've got to be offensive.
02:07We've got to move.
02:09We've got to go after the bad actors by swimming upstream the same channel that they're coming to us.
02:14For years, cyber has been one country or one company or one municipality or one state, one hospital, one tech
02:25company fighting an army from another country.
02:30We have to do better.
02:31We have to collaborate between each other and be able to go after the threat that's not going away.
02:39It's only going to get worse, especially with new AI technology, why it can be used for very positive things.
02:46It can also be used for very negative things, too.
02:49And that's going to be a fight that's not going to end.
02:51We're recruiting inside CISA.
02:53By the way, for any of your universities around here, we're needing the best.
02:57We're going to get very, very aggressive at this.
02:59And it takes people that are from a younger generation than myself to be able to know where the threats
03:04are coming from.
03:05And we need your help.
03:06The country needs your help.
03:07It's a national security risk that we're constantly guiding.
