00:30What I want, now he's on the radio.
00:34To the team.
00:38Getting in his lunch request.
00:40We'll see you next time around
00:41once they go through that feed zone
00:43near the start-finish line.
00:56I was talking earlier.
01:00About Tomas Voecler being here.
01:04And the story they were sharing,
01:06I didn't get a chance to pay attention to it.
01:08I was walking by the stage when they were doing it.
01:12So, Voecler was up there
01:14when they were talking to Derek G.
01:15After they were interviewing Lidl Trek.
01:18And so the story was
01:20when Voecler won in Quebec City
01:23in 2010,
01:25he gave, he was
01:27As another batch of riders
01:29starts to lose shape,
01:31here comes another rider from EF Education.
01:33Easy post, perhaps a counter-attack.
01:37There is Schachmann.
01:40There's Maxim van Heels.
01:41Adam Yates.
01:42Fantastic climber.
01:45Certainly one
01:48who could win this race.
01:53Because, you know,
01:54he's done it before.
01:56He did it back in 2023.
01:58So, Leonard working for Healy now.
02:00Vilko Kelderman,
02:01then Adam Yates.
02:03I'm literally always checking
02:05to see if I have the same Yates.
02:06Yes.
02:07But the Flam Rouge,
02:08he'll turn right.
02:09Then he'll turn right again.
02:10And there's a crash.
02:11Big crash on the downhill.
02:14Four riders.
02:16And that's going at top speed.
02:17Sean Quinn,
02:18the American,
02:18is down.
02:19That is Tymon Addensmann as well.
02:22There's five riders down.
02:23There is one from Lidl Trek.
02:25Can't see who it is.
02:26That's Bart Lemon
02:27of Visma Lisa Bike.
02:30And the
02:31Clement Braz
02:34is the
02:35Groupama FDG rider.
02:37And I'm just wondering,
02:38I can't see who that is
02:40from Lidl Trek.
02:41And another look back
02:42over on the left side
02:43of your screen.
02:46Just looks like
02:49was it Sean Quinn
02:50that I said
02:51who just took a bump
02:52and just drifted right
02:53and took out
02:53several riders with him.
02:55Cathlon can provide.
02:57So if Paul Sakesas
03:00wants to try to do it,
03:02doesn't have any more
03:03teammates than that.
03:0430 seconds
03:06to the breakaway.
03:08And who's behind him
03:09is Compatriot.
03:11drip of the sweat there.
03:13Now comes the attack
03:14and it's Paul Sakesas.
03:15No immediate response.
03:19The great French hope
03:20is off and flying
03:22in Montreal.
03:24It's McNulty chasing now.
03:27Pitcock trying to get up there.
03:31And the gap is coming down
03:33quickly.
03:35And he is closed
03:36right in
03:38on Healy.
03:40There might not be
03:40anything left to chase.
03:42And Sakesas
03:43fresh as a daisy
03:45out of the saddle.
03:46Down in the saddle.
03:48Driving this one.
03:49Healy trying to consolidate.
03:55His first time
03:56on the continent.
03:59A world...
04:04Let's see if McNulty
04:05can close it.
04:06He is not far away.
04:07Certainly room
04:08to close
04:08on the downhill.
04:16Sakesas already
04:17has extensive
04:18Palmares this season.
04:19GC winner.
04:20Overall winner
04:21in the Thulia Basque Country.
04:23He won
04:23up the Mirdoui
04:24at the Fleschwellon.
04:27Won the Fon Ardash Classic.
04:30At Basque Country
04:32race.
04:32Three stage wins.
04:34And then
04:35Sakesas second
04:36at Liege-Bastogne-Liege.
04:41And also second
04:42the early season race
04:44Strade Bianche.
04:46That race
04:47in the Piazza
04:48up to the Piazza del Campo
04:49in Siena.
04:51Tadej Pogacar won.
04:53Sakesas was a minute
04:54behind him.
04:55Pogacar
04:57is not here.
04:58And it's Sakesas.
05:05And now
05:06it's just a knockdown
05:07drag out
05:07sprint to the finish line.
05:08It's Sakesas.
05:09It's Del Toro.
05:11It's 500 meters
05:12to go
05:12up the
05:14Avnuzi Pog
05:14for the final time.
05:19Inside 500 meters
05:20they will leave it
05:21as late as possible.
05:22Del Toro
05:23sitting in the slipstream.
05:24He'd have to like
05:25his advantage.
05:25He has to get around
05:26Sakesas.
05:27Sakesas wants to leave
05:28it as late as he can.
05:29Look over the shoulder.
05:30Another one.
05:32The nerves growing.
05:33The tension mounting.
05:36It is just Sakesas.
05:38Last year
05:39the final lap
05:39was a formality.
05:40Two teammates
05:41crossing the line.
05:42This
05:44victory awaits.
05:45There goes
05:46Izak Del Toro.
05:47It's a late response.
05:49Sakesas trying to match.
05:50Del Toro
05:50might have pulled
05:51the wool over his eyes.
05:52Here comes
05:53Izak Del Toro.
05:54He won the white jersey
05:55in Paris.
05:56He is going to take
05:57like this one
05:57in Montreal
05:58barring the unforeseen
05:59Sakesas trying
06:01to close it up.
06:02Izak Del Toro
06:03a glimpse
06:04of what might come
06:05in a few weeks time.
06:07Del Toro
06:07victory
06:08in Montreal.
06:12Sakesas trying to close it up.
06:14Izak Del Toro
06:15a glimpse
06:16of what might come
06:16Del Toro
06:16victory in Montreal.
06:16the first time
06:16to close it up?
06:16I'm going to take
06:16I mean that
06:16you can do it.
06:16You can play
06:16You can do it.
