00:06He is down in his golf club in County Clare where he's watching the Irish Open golf tournament.
00:11He'll present the winner with the trophy later on this evening.
00:14He'll be accompanied also by Irish Prime Minister Taoiseach Míhor Martin.
00:18Yesterday he had a whole day of events, in particular at the U.S. Ambassadors Residence, which is just behind

00:23where he gave a wide-ranging speech but very much pressed home on his desire to see the unification of
00:29Ireland, Northern Ireland, with the Irish state.
00:31This is something that was largely put to bed in 1998 with the Good Friday Agreement.
00:36But Irish government sources have said that this is something that Donald Trump frequently brings up with the Irish government.
00:40And he's the one who introduced this conversation.
00:43He believes that it's a merger that he thinks will be much more logical.
00:47Of course, the U.K. government does not agree.
00:49And we know that the Irish Taoiseach will speak to Andy Burnham, the U.K. Prime Minister, later in this
00:55week.
00:55Donald Trump also updated the government in relation to talks between the Ukrainians and the Russians and the peace efforts

01:02saying that there is some progress.
01:04He also said he hoped that the war in Iran would end soon.
01:07He spoke to press about that.
01:08And the Irish government did also respond to him in relation to his comments about immigration,
01:13where he said that immigration, or too much immigration, was killing Europe.
01:17The Irish government said that immigration is down in Ireland.
01:20And also he said that he would return here potentially next year.
