00:01President Trump, a few questions, please.
00:05President Trump, a few questions, please.
00:11Everybody having a good time?
00:14Shane's playing great.
00:15Not an easy game.
00:18But he's playing great.
00:20Having fun?
00:21I'm having a good time.
00:22Great course.
00:22Nice hotel.
00:25I'm going to wait around, yeah.
00:29I'll leave a little bit late.
00:31Get back in Washington a little later.
00:34But we'll be hanging around.
00:37Great tournament, isn't it?
00:38Yeah, really good.
00:39Thank you, everybody, very much.
00:40Thank you, Mr. President.
00:40Do you expect a great hype next week on the Fed?
00:44For what?
00:44A great hype on the Fed?
00:46I don't know.
00:47We should be paying.
00:48The United States is so strong.
00:50We should be paying the lowest interest rate in the world,
00:53regardless of their formulas.
00:55I know more about formulas than anybody.
00:57And we're the best credit in the world.
01:00We make other countries rich.
01:01We could turn that off in two minutes.
01:03You understand that.
01:05Mr. President, do you expect Congress would need to approve the $5,000?
01:13I don't know if it's easy enough.
01:15If the Republicans win, as I said, it's $5,000 to all adults in the country.
01:21And we can easily handle that because we're taking in so much money.
01:25We've never done better.
01:26The Democrats can't make that pledge because it'll all go to hell right away.
01:31The Democrats get in, you'll go into a depression.
01:34When we get in, we will continue this incredible situation.
01:38I mean, we have the strongest, we're the strongest we've ever been.
01:41We have trillions of dollars coming into the country.
01:44And the $5,000 is going to everybody.
01:46I made that pledge.
01:47I always keep my pledge.
01:48You know, they all said we couldn't get the Great Big Beautiful Bill done.
01:51Right?
01:52They all said we'd never be able to get the $1,776 to the military last year.
01:58That's $1,776.
02:00A lot of money.
02:01A lot of military.
02:02I got them.
02:03Taking care of them.
02:05But remember that.
02:06They said you'll never get the Great Big Beautiful.
02:08Because there was 20 bills wrapped up into one.
02:10That's what I call it, the Great Big Beautiful Bill.
02:12They said, no chance.
02:14Guess what?
02:15I got done.
02:16No tax on tips.
02:18No tax on overtime.
02:19No tax on Social Security.
02:21And by the way, when, if the Democrats, for any reason, want all of the no tax on tips,
02:28there's no tax on Social Security for our great seniors.
02:31No tax on overtime.
02:33It all gets terminated.
02:35Who wants that?
02:37The country is booming.
02:39The country is booming.
02:41Iran will end right after, maybe before, but it will end right after the midterms.
02:46Gasoline is going to drop like a rock.
02:48Just like it was just before I got, I mean, I knew what I was doing.
02:51I had to do it.
02:52Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
02:55And they won't have a nuclear weapon.
02:57Sir, if Iran is not going to end until after the midterm elections, does that also mean
03:02talks?
03:03Look, it could end before the midterm.
03:04But it will end after the midterm.
03:07And Iran, Iran, I will tell you this.
03:09Iran wants to make a deal so badly.
03:13They are calling constantly.
03:14They want to make a deal.
03:16They got to make the right deal.
03:17I'm not going to make a deal that's no good.
03:18Mr. President, what do you make of the Gulf nation?
03:26I don't care.
03:27That's up to them.
03:27That's fine.
03:29If they could be happy, you know, that's wrong.
03:31Israel, along with the nations that we're talking about, they're happy.
03:35That's fine.
03:36Do you think the United States will ultimately get out?
03:40Unless we decide to stay and keep the oil.
03:45Like Venezuela.
03:46You don't talk about Venezuela anymore, do you?
03:48Take it in.
03:50Billions and billions and billions of dollars.
03:53We paid for the war many times.
03:55Many, many times.
03:57So we'll see.
03:59Mr. Zelensky has to do one thing.
04:01Mr. Zelensky has to do one thing.
04:04Mr. Zelensky has to do one thing.
04:05Wait a minute.
04:06Can I talk?
04:08Mr. Zelensky has to do one thing.
04:10He has to stop knocking out diesel fuel in Russia.
04:15Let him go after targets, but not diesel fuel, because he's causing a shortage of diesel fuel.
04:20This isn't done by the Middle East.
04:22This is done by what's happening with Russia and Ukraine.
04:25So we spoke to Mr. Zelensky about it.
04:27There are plenty of other targets.
04:29Don't hit diesel fuel, because that's hurting the world.
04:32We don't want him to hit diesel fuel.
04:36He's hitting diesel refineries.
04:39Do you think he should have pulled a referendum on United Island after your comments yesterday?
04:43Do you think it's time for that kind of vote?
04:45Are you talking about my comments on Ireland?
04:48Yes.
04:50I'm somebody that owns fantastic property here.
04:54This is one of the greatest golf courses anywhere in the world.
04:57You see that.
04:58It's really showed so well.
04:59Players are coming out saying, one of the best they've ever played.
05:03I've always loved the people of Ireland.
05:05And it just seems to me that you have Northern Ireland, then you have Ireland.
05:11And it would seem to me that one of the naturals of all time is put them together.
05:15So that's only my opinion.
05:18And by the way, many people agree.
05:20I made the comment just, I just, I made what I consider to be a fairly routine comment.
05:26I've had so much support on that.
05:28And then they asked me about Scotland.
05:30That one I won't talk about yet.
05:32I'll save that for another day.
05:33They're talking about Scotland.
05:34I'll say, you don't mind, I'll save that for another day.
05:36Mr. President, if you could play a round with any golfer here, who would it be?
05:39Here right now?
05:40Right now.
05:41Well, right now I'll take Shane, and I'll also take Rory, and I'll also take about 40 others.
05:46Because you know what?
05:47They're great players.
05:47They're all great.
05:49Every one of them.
05:50It's amazing.
05:50It's a tough course.
05:51But Shane is playing.
05:53Look, Shane had nine one-putts in a row yesterday.
05:55I watched it.
05:56I said, that's not bad.
05:59But he's playing great.
06:01I know the people of Ireland would love to see it.
06:03Do you have some competition?
06:05Yeah, I would have competition.
06:07I'd have a little competition.
06:08Sir, are you worried that President Xi might cancel his summit with you in the next couple of weeks over
06:12to Taiwan?
06:13No, I'm not worried about that.
06:13We have a great relationship.
06:14He wants to get along, and we want it.
06:15We're going to get along.
06:18China's been, I think, very feral with us over the last number of years that I've been there.
06:23But over the years, over the decades, but over the years and during Biden and during Obama,
06:29China took tremendous advantage of the United States.
06:33Did you hear that sound?
06:36I don't know, but it changed.
06:39It wasn't negative.
06:41Mr. President, you mentioned Venezuela.
06:42When do you see democratic elections happening?
06:46Well, when they're ready.
06:48In a year?
06:48The people of Venezuela now are so happy because they were living in a tough situation.
06:52And now the oil companies are going in.
06:55A lot of money is being made.
06:56Venezuela is making a tremendous amount of money.
06:59So are we.
07:00And it's, you know, we have all the big companies going in there now, and they're drilling.
07:04And when they start really drilling, when that really starts to happen.
07:07It's already happening.
07:08But the people of Venezuela are very, very happy.
07:12You know, it was a very sad, it was a very sad country, actually.
07:15It was a very sad country.
07:19And now the people are very happy.
07:20People of Venezuela are very happy, and they see what's happening.
07:24And by the way, jobs are being created by the thousands.
07:27But the oil companies, all the big companies that really couldn't or wouldn't go there,
07:32and they're all there now.
07:33They're all going in.
07:34Exxon Mobil wants to go in.
07:36Chevron is in there big already.
07:39They're really moving.
07:40And they're moving, and they're moving very quickly.
07:43And we're taking millions of barrels of oil out of Venezuela and bringing it to Houston,
07:48refining it.
07:49A lot of oil.
07:54Will he endorse him in his election?
07:57Well, I haven't even looked at the race.
08:00I can say that I have a very good relationship with him.
08:02President Trump, we've seen a lot of concerning reports about AI.
08:06Should the AI industry slow down or be more regulated?
08:09Well, I say this.
08:10Look, we're leading China in AI.
08:12We're the most sophisticated country in the world.
08:15And frankly, I want to keep it that way.
08:16Because whoever wins, AI wins.
08:19And we can quit guardrails.
08:21We can do this and that.
08:22But I think you have a lot of negative forces that are bringing it up that shouldn't be bringing it
08:27up.
08:27And they're bringing up things that won't happen.
08:29But whoever wins with AI wins.
08:32You know, it's an expression that I came up with.
08:34And it's true.
08:36We're building billions and billions of dollars.
08:39You look at the plants and factories.
08:41Forgetting about AI for a second.
08:43We have more auto factories under construction right now than we have had in many, many decades.
08:48Maybe ever.
08:50Maybe ever.
08:51He likes being on camera.
08:53Mr. President, why are them sacks?
08:54Mr. President, Mr. President.
08:56Thank you very much.
08:57Very nice.
08:57I didn't want to be implied.
08:58I asked him.
08:59Mr. President, did you see any footage?
09:01He's a much better looking guy than me, so I didn't know.
09:04Mr. President, did you see any footage of the protests against your visit here in Dublin?
09:07And what do you make of that opposition?
09:09I don't know.
09:09You know, you remind me of somebody.
09:12Very cute.
09:13Irish singer fests away with somebody.
09:15Do you know who that is?
09:16Shanead.
09:17I actually had that before, Shanead O'Connor.
09:19You look like Shanead O'Connor.
09:23That's a compliment.
09:25She sang beautifully.
09:26Mr. President, what do you think Andy Burnham, the British Prime Minister, made of your comments
09:30on a United Ireland?
09:32I don't know what he said, Joe.
09:33He said there would be no referendum until the majority of people in North America.
09:37Everybody says that, and then things happen.
09:40By the way, I've spoken to him.
09:42I think he's a very nice guy.
09:43He tends to be on the liberal side, unfortunately.
09:45The one thing he is going to be doing, I think he's going to be stopping the stupid windmills,
09:49and he's going to be drilling in the North Sea.
09:52That's my impression.
09:55I hope no windmills.
09:56If you have a windmill in your backyard.
09:58I was the windmill girl in the Oval Office that asked you, and you said they were heinous.
10:02And they were real America's voice.
10:04No, no windmills.
10:06Windmills, if you have a windmill near your house, your house is practically valueless.
10:12It's the most expensive one.
10:14It's so sad.
10:15When I go over, you know, Ireland's been very good on windmills.
10:18They have proportionally far less than Scotland.
10:20Scotland is, it's a shame what they've done.
10:23Here's the good thing about a windmill.
10:25It can be taken down.
10:26But you know it's so bad, it's so pathetic.
10:29You can't really bury them.
10:30They say the blades will cause all sorts of problems in the earth.
10:33They've got something for everything.
10:35But the truth is, Scotland has the great North Sea.
10:38You have oil among the finest in the world.
10:42Really incredible.
10:43The oil companies call me all the time, please, we'd like to go to the North Sea.
10:47And you know where Scotland gets its oil from?
10:49The North Sea.
10:50It buys it from Norway.
10:52Can you believe it?
10:53And Norway and Denmark, it buys it from other countries.
10:57Coming out of the North Sea, can you imagine that?
11:00So, they don't want to drill.
11:03Tell me about it.
11:04Instead, they're paying a huge premium to buy oil from the North Sea.
11:08And they have North Sea prime.
11:11And the oil they're buying is not prime.
11:13So, Scotland can be and the UK can be a very, very wealthy country if they open up the North
11:21Sea.
11:21And the capital of, you know, it used to be the capital of oil.
11:27But the capital of European oil was in Aberdeen.
11:30Aberdeen was an unbelievable capital.
11:33And it could be again.
11:34But they should, if they open up the North Sea, the UK is going to be rich.
11:38If they don't open up the North Sea, the UK is bankrupt.
11:42Thank you, everybody.
11:43Thank you, Press.
11:44Thank you, Press.
11:45Thank you, Press.
11:46Stay right here.
11:47Stay right here.
