00:03I think, you know, I am a woman, of course. I'm a female filmmaker. I've been the only woman in
00:12many different settings throughout my life because we have a structural problem in our industry.
00:19So we need to do better in all parts of the chain within the business in order to change
00:28the status quo. I think every moment is the right moment for women. I think we still have lots of
00:34work to do. For example? I think, you know, in terms of getting your first film done as a female
00:42filmmaker after film school, it takes a lot and often we're, you know, we're behind our male peers
00:49in terms of budgets. We need to work on that, that we equally have, you know, great budgets and
00:56or good budgets, sustainable budgets that can enable us to do, you know, complex stories.
01:03I never thought this would happen. I, this is my first, it's also my first lead role in a movie.
01:09So I've just, you know, since I went out of acting school six years ago, I wrote to my, the
01:15director
01:15and I had told her, you know, if I really want to work with you. And even then I didn't
01:21think it would,
01:21you know, happen. But then I went to a casting and then I got the part and then we made
01:26the movie
01:26and now we're standing here and it's, it's just, everything has just gone so fast and wonderfully.
