00:00I think, you know, I am a woman, of course. I'm a female filmmaker. I've been the only woman in
00:08many different settings throughout my life because we have a structural problem in our industry. So we need to do
00:16better in all parts of the chain within the business in order to change the status quo.
00:25I think every moment is the right moment for women. I think we still have lots of work to do.
00:31For example?
00:32I think, you know, in terms of getting your first film done as a female filmmaker after film school, it
00:41takes a lot.
00:42And often, you know, we are behind our male peers in terms of budgets. We need to work on that,
00:49that we equally have, you know, great budgets and good budgets, sustainable budgets.
00:55that can enable us to do, you know, complex stories.
00:59I never thought this would happen. This is my first, it's also my first lead role in a movie.
01:05So I've just, you know, since I went out of acting school six years ago, I wrote to Mai, the
01:11director, and I told her, you know, if I really want to work with you.
01:15And even then I didn't think it would, you know, happen. But then I went to a casting and then
01:21I got the part and then we made the movie and now we're standing here and it's, it's just, everything
01:25has just gone so fast and wonderfully.
01:28Thank you.
