उत्तर प्रदेश में काफी संख्या में ईंट भट्ठे है जहाँ लाखों मज़दूर काम करते है । ज़िला शामली में 160 से ज्यादा ईंट भट्ठे है जिनमे अलग अलग काम किये जाते है ज्यादातर ईंट भट्ठों पर दलित समाज और पिछड़े समाज से लोग हर साल अपने घर से पलायन कर मज़दूरी करने घर से दूर जाते है ।
इन ईंट भट्ठों पर पूरा परिवार मिलकर काम करता है जहां 6 माह तक रोज़गार मिलता रहता है लेकिन इन ईंट भट्ठों पर अभी भी इनके बच्चों के लिए स्कूलों और दवाइयों के लिए कोई सुविधा नही है । ये मज़दूर बहुत ही कम संसाधनों में अपना जीवन बिताते हैं क्योंकि इनके पास इसके अलावा कोई रोज़गार नही है ।

There are a large number of brick kilns in Uttar Pradesh where lakhs of laborers work. There are more than 160 brick kilns in district Shamli, in which different work is done, mostly by people from Dalit society and backward societies. They migrate from their homes every year and come to work in brick kilns.

The whole family works together in these brick kilns where employment is available for only 6 months but still, there is no facility for schools and medicines for their children. These workers spend their life with very few resources as they have no other employment.
