00:00The police arrived within minutes, sweeping the house with flashlights drawn.
00:04But the intruder was gone.
00:06Every window and door was securely latched.
00:10Nothing was stolen.
00:11It was as if a ghost had walked through the walls.
00:15The police and my dad eventually came to a chilling conclusion.
00:19The man wasn't a random burglar.
00:22He was someone waiting for my dad.
00:24Someone who knew our routine.
00:27Someone with a malicious, deeply personal motive.
00:31But because I never saw his face in the dark, we never found out who he was.
00:36We moved out by the end of the week, and my dad changed jobs.
00:40We never spoke of it again.
