Bipartisan negotiators are looking at legislation that would require #AI companies to take responsibility for known dangers — including AI being used to help develop biological or nuclear weapons. The government could also gain the power to block the release of unsafe #AIModels.

This comes as AI-assisted cyberattacks, biological research misuse, and unpredictable autonomous agents are raising alarms in Washington.
