00:30So I thought about him in that garden.
00:48The students were made and a representative group from ARFAST met with members of the U.S.
01:08And we were told, not you, not here, and instead we went in the exact opposite direction.
01:24Inspired to courage, and there's a song written by children who right now are detained in family
01:30detention center in South Texas.
01:32We love you.
01:34We love you.
01:35We're here with you.
01:37We're here with you.
01:38We're going to use the power of some to hold us in grief and in love, in power.
01:46She came by.
01:50I have to look him up.
01:52Oh, he's fine.
01:55I'm here.
01:57You see, I'm there.
02:07We still have a mile and a half to go.
02:29I feel 25 years later, you still feel the loss of your child never goes away.
02:37So, you know, I still feel the pain and the loss.
02:41But I'm able to live my life beyond that.
02:45And that just comes and goes now.
02:49She was on the second plane, Flight 175, United Flight 175, that hit the South Tower.
02:59I drove to work, and it was a beautiful day.
03:02And I remember thinking how blue the sky was and how wonderful a day it was.
03:07And then when I got to work, I had a staff meeting that I had to run.
03:11And so I was leading the staff meeting when somebody broke through the door and turned the TV on
03:17in time for me to see my daughter's plane crash into the South Tower.
03:22I didn't find out about that, that she was on that until four hours later.
03:28I remember just bursting into, you know, crying and felt like the world had just caved in on me
03:38and that my life had just been splintered into a thousand pieces like my daughter's body.
03:47Well, right afterwards, it seemed like the whole world was with us.
03:51And I think that was a time that we should have embraced more because they were reaching out to us.
03:58And I think we could have possibly brought those responsible to justice in an international court of law
04:06rather than wage war on Afghanistan.
04:09And most of the people had nothing to do with that.
04:14Because there's been such a backlash of war-making and anti-immigrant and hate
04:23as a result of the path the United States has gone on since 9-11.
04:30And I, this group is speaking in opposition to that whole tendency towards just endless, endless war.
04:39Thanks, sir.
04:39Thanks, sir.
04:40Thanks, sir.
04:40Thanks, sir.
