00:04I was working downtown Brooklyn and my colleagues came in with a TV and we saw the first building go
00:10town and then you know right away I used to work for Canada Fitzgerald and my first thought was like
00:18oh my god my two friends that I still had contact with Shannon and Kathy and you know I couldn't
00:24get through to anybody and then they told us we could leave physically I don't know how they did it
00:29but all we could do is support them and be there for when they went to memorials or be there
00:35when they came home and hug them and pray for them because it was a hard time for everybody afterwards
00:42and New York did recover a thousand miles stare on everybody's look nobody could believe what was going on everybody
00:49was in this zone it was just a day like no other
00:59I was at home and then I came to the firehouse and then it was just chaos after that everybody
01:08trying to get over to the city at the time my wife worked on Wall Street she was maybe a
01:16half a block from the trade center so that was in the back of my mind what was going on
01:20with that where these guys were it was just chaos
