00:06down and then you know right away I used to work for Canada Fitzgerald and my first thought was like
00:14oh my god my two friends that I still had contact with Shannon and Kathy and you know I couldn't
00:20get through to anybody and then they told us we could leave physically I don't know how they did it
00:25but all we could do is support them and be there for when they went to
00:29memorials or be there when they came home and hug them and pray for them because it was a hard
00:36time for everybody afterwards and New York did recover. A thousand miles stare on everybody's look nobody could believe what
00:44was going on everybody was in this zone it was just a day like no other
00:55I was at home and then I came to the firehouse and then it was just chaos after that everybody
01:04trying to get over to the city at the time my wife worked on Wall Street she was maybe a
01:12half a block from the trade center so that was in the back of my mind what was going on
01:16with that where these guys were it was just chaos.
