00:11This has been a good trip here, and this is the best time.
00:29So it's good that my camera is here in pixel capture.
00:34This camera is all popped up and you just got a big picture.
00:41This camera is the camera's camera.
00:45This camera is really big.
00:48And this camera is just too small.
00:49The camera is really big.
01:00The reason for this is that there are already very good engineering colleges here and there are trained youths that
01:09have been quite easy to hire and give them further training.
01:14We have been working in India for a long time.
01:18Our local partners have already been working for a long time, so we have already had an experience for many
01:24years.
01:24We have already known how talented youths and resources available that we will hire.
01:34That's why we came here.
01:37Our company is a very big social impact company.
01:43The reason for this is that we give opportunities to youths where there are not many corporate opportunities available.
01:52So, one of the reasons for this is that Uttarakhand is a developing state.
01:58Now the infrastructure is growing up here.
02:01There are not many corporates yet.
02:04So, we wanted to be one of the first ones that we can set up here.
02:09Especially focusing on AI data services, which is the most demanding of the world in the world.
02:16Of this kind of technical challenges.
02:18The few hospitals are in the world in Western countries, all the Europe and other companies that are global tier
02:28one tier two companies.
02:30We provide services.
02:31We provide a lot of core and established startups such as the world.
02:37so big, there are many established companies and many new well-funded startups, so we
02:45work with a whole range of ecosystems. We provide primarily AI data services, where
02:54if a company is starting, we help them with data collection, data curation, and if the
03:01company has already matured AI companies, we help them with better models.
03:07We can see it from two different ways. As we have done so many hiring, the whole hiring is
03:15our local youth. So, the local people who come here, we are going to hire outside.
03:21The local youth who come to our interviews, they are selected through the process.
03:30The other factor that we want to keep in policy, is that we will keep 50% of female employees
03:39in the corporate world. In today's history, the 200 people who have already hired,
03:5060% are already female employees. So, we have already achieved that number.
04:06We're headquartered in New York, but we have a home here now in Derudun. My goal is to give advanced
04:15careers in technologies and AI to the young people here in Derudun. My goal is to keep them here. The
04:23best and brightest often times we have been
04:24to leave and go to the big metros to grow their careers in technology. We want to change that. We
04:30want to focus on keeping them here close to their families and communities and giving them the same opportunities in
04:36Derudun that a young person might otherwise have in San Francisco, Beijing, or London.
04:41Certainly for DDD. If you come back and visit me a year from now, we'll have more than a thousand
04:47employees in this location.
04:49And my expectation is in addition to being a global capability center, Derudun will also be my center of excellence.
04:55What that means is some of the most complex, biggest problems with an AI that my clients bring to me
05:01will be solved here in Derudun.
05:03I have other locations around the world as well, in Cambodia and Laos and Kenya, and those locations are also
05:09very important to what we do at DDD.
05:11Derudun is different. I believe I have a different opportunity to grow solutions and engineering and even more advanced capabilities
05:19here than I might have in my other locations.
05:22So those biggest and most complex problems, they will be solved here. And in fact, my other locations will learn
05:30from the great work that's being done in Derudun.
05:33This is our first delivery center for DDD in India. We've had partners that we've worked with for more than
05:3820 years. This is our first home in India.
05:42Already, without even putting out job postings, we have over 200 employees that are working in the facility. Most of
05:49them are coming from local universities. Many of them are women.
05:52And already they are helping create data ingestion models that are going to feed into large language models that you
05:59and I probably have on our phone now.
06:01So I've been so impressed already with the talent and ambition of the young people here. And that's just the
06:09beginning.
06:10Many of these current employees are going to grow into different levels of management and leadership, working directly with our
06:15clients to help them solve the biggest problems.
06:18So the services we've offered to our customers is more into AI and ML. We are more into a capability
06:26development center here. So that is what we provide here.
06:29We are giving opportunities to especially freshers and training them into AI and ML. IT is everywhere in India in
06:37the metro cities.
06:38We also checked other locations like Lucknow, Gurugan and Faridabad and Noida. But we found a pool of resources who
06:48are moving out from Derudun to other cities.
06:51We want to give opportunities to them and we want to catch some young people also. That's the reason.
06:57The first office in India, we chose Derudun. And we already have some partners who worked here. So we are
07:04having our own offices now. We are bringing in all the partners inside.
07:08We want to establish in Derudun first. So once the infrastructure is available there, Derudun, other early areas does not
07:16have capabilities like internet, basic internet, power cuts.
07:22When that improves, we will always be there. See, we are also an impact sourcing company that we help underprivileged
07:29people.
07:29That is why we don't say we want only graduates. We will take even. See, recently I took one person.
07:35She has just finished 10 standard.
07:3710 standard. But she is very capable. Her mother has cancer. Her dad has a small shop. So we gave
07:43her opportunity. She is here. You can meet her also.
07:45So we give opportunity to underprivileged. We train them. So we just want the basic skills. They can listen and
07:52reproduce. That's enough.
07:54That's enough.
