00:06This was New Zealand's first test of their 1988 India tour.
00:10The New Zealand team kept losing players to a stomach bug in Bangalore and this forced
00:16them to use five substitutes.
00:18One of those substitutes was former New Zealand captain Jeremy Coney who had retired from
00:23cricket just 18 months earlier.
00:24He was commentating with Ken Nicholson who was a journalist and a TV broadcaster.
00:30He also had to field in that match.
00:33This is the only test match where commentators became players.
