00:00So, global investors now aren't just looking simply for empty land.
00:04What they want is they want talent, they want sustainability, policy certainty.
00:10How is Selangor locking those fundamentals down?
00:13And how crucial is alignment between your office with agencies such as InvestSelangor?
00:17Yeah, exactly. I think you have pointed out one very important concern of all the investors,
00:22including the local or the foreign investors.
00:25Because they are not investing.
00:27Nowadays, they are not investing in a real estate.
00:30They are not coming here to buy the industrial land and hoping for the industrial land to appreciate.
00:36So, this is not the game anymore.
00:38So, they are here because of our ecosystem.
00:41They are here because the ready-to-go ecosystem that we have in Selangor.
00:46So, that is something that we are hoping to build.
00:50Because in Selangor, we are very selective as well.
00:53We do not want any kind of investment to come to Selangor
00:57if it doesn't suit our directions.
01:00So, we want the investment to be here,
01:03to be together with Selangor government to build a more complete ecosystem
01:08for all type of industries that we are promoting in Selangor.
01:12For example, automotive, aerospace, semiconductors, and so on.
01:16We want them to be together to build the ecosystem.
01:19And we have the ecosystem.
01:21We are hoping to make it a better ecosystem for these industries.
01:25So, we are working together with them.
01:30And another major concern that most of the investors are facing now is a talent shortage.
01:36In almost all the industries that I mentioned earlier on,
01:39semiconductor, aerospace.
01:41For aerospace, the immediate vacancies now is 1,600.
01:45For the aircraft technician, aircraft engineer,
01:47the immediate vacancies available in Malaysia market is 1,600.
01:50And most of all these companies are in Selangor.
01:54So, talent development is another big challenge for us.
02:00So, through Inverse Selangor,
02:01we have a program called Scout,
02:04Selangor Career Outreach Program.
02:07So, Scout will be working together with PECSO
02:10in the coming 6th, 2026,
02:12to have the job recruitment program.
02:14And we also have a constant engagement with the university students
02:19in order for them to understand the current market demand
02:22and also to connect them,
02:24to bridge them, to bridge a gap between the industry and also economy.
02:29I think this is very important that before they graduate from their universities,
02:34they have to know what is the market demand.
02:37And for the industrial players,
02:39they also need to let the academia know about their demand.
02:43So, what are the skills that they need?
