00:00Rain fury continues in Delhi NCR with heavy rains lashing across Delhi NCR.
00:06IMD in fact has issued a red alert for the very region.
00:10Heavy rainfall in fact has been lashing Delhi NCR since last evening and the neighbouring areas as well.
00:18This is in fact today for the second straight day that it's disrupted normal life and forced the Indian Meteorological
00:26Department.
00:26IMD issue a yellow alert forecasting more showers across the National Capital Region throughout the day.
00:32It's already quite the cloud cover that we've seen outside.
00:37The weather across the NCR, the National Capital Region that is, remains to be quite cloudy and the rains continue
00:45to pour down for a second straight day.
00:48It began with a storm yesterday that set in during the day itself.
00:54And ever since, the rains have continued to pour in with perhaps just a few hours of dry spells in
01:01between.
01:02But the cloud cover has remained throughout the heavy rains.
01:06Of course, as we know in the National Capital, it brings with it several disruptions to normal lives.
01:13People continuing with their routines about the day face quite the difficulty.
01:17Traffic bottlenecks oftentimes seen across several areas in the National Capital Region itself.
01:25Then there is of course the issue of water logging that many regions, many pockets of the NCR face.
01:34And as we are speaking, viewers, we have for you some ground reports coming in from different parts of the
01:40National Capital Region itself.
01:41Let's quickly take a look.
01:42Thank you very much.
02:37Thank you very much.
02:42So, IMD definitely has given predictions for the Wethpel to continue.
02:47And in fact, it's a yellow alert that's been issued for the National Capital Region as the entire city and
02:55the neighboring areas have been bracing for more showers through the day as it continues.
03:00But for now, early morning as well, the city woke up to quite the cloud cover and we see for
03:06a second straight day the rains do continue.
03:08And traffic definitely, it's been a long weekend for the people here given that we do see a festival yesterday
03:18and then Saturday and Sunday which in fact does put a little ease on the morning traffic that is for
03:27the office goers for that matter that we see on the streets of Delhi.
03:31While that pressure has been eased out with the long weekend, but on the other side, we do see that
03:37the rains otherwise do disrupt the lives of people who do venture out on the weekend as well.
03:45And as we are speaking, viewers, we do see that Anshul Singh joining us on the broadcast with more details
03:53on the same.
03:54Anshul, a very good morning to you.
03:55What exactly does seem like the situation in Delhi?
03:58Where exactly are you firstly?
04:00And we do see it's not raining currently where you are standing, but what seems to be the situation like?
04:08Oh, well, very good morning Sria and definitely a very, very good morning for the people of the National Capital
04:13as the rain boss have yet again decided to go ahead and bless their weekends.
04:17Since yesterday, we have seen that there was a drastic change in the weather conditions that happened in the National
04:22Capital over the last few days.
04:23There was a lot of humidity that had incurred the entire Delhi NCR area, but since afternoon yesterday, there has
04:30been this constant spell of rain.
04:32And even since this morning, there has been this constant spell of rain.
04:35Yes, there are reports of a few waterlogging situations that have come up from different parts of the National Capital.
04:41We saw what happened at the airport when there was a sudden outburst of rain that had happened and there
04:47was waterlogging that happened at the airport.
04:49But today, since today, as you rightly mentioned, that it is a part of a long weekend and hence we
04:55are not seeing much traffic on the streets of the National Capital.
04:58Currently, I'm standing in the central district of the National Capital in the NAMC area.
05:04And there are very few, there are almost no reports of waterlogging that has come up till now because the
05:10rain has been constant since morning.
05:11There is no speedy rain that we have seen since this morning and that has allowed the waters to go
05:20away.
05:20Now, the IMD is predicting that over the next two to three days, it is expected that the weather will
05:25continue to remain the same,
05:27which means that there is going to be rain that will happen for Sunday and Monday as well.
05:33Now, once Monday approaches, it remains to be seen what kind of difficulties will the people of Delhi have to
05:39face again.
05:40Because yet again, on a working day, we know that if at all there is even a shortfall of rain,
05:44that could spell massive trouble for the people of Delhi NCR.
05:47So, it remains to be seen how will the Delhi administration this time around try to control the situation
05:52and make sure that the issues that are faced by the people of Delhi NCR, that goes down to minimal.
06:01Right, Anshul, thank you for bringing us all of these details with regards to the entire weather updates coming in
06:07from the Delhi NCR.
06:09Right now, however, while we do understand that the rains will continue for some time,
06:15the IMD specifically has come out to issue a red alert, so we will keep an eye out of how
06:19things proceed from here.
