00:00Isso é isso.
00:02Esses dois anos.
00:02São vocês, por todos,
00:03que existem um aumento desse valor
00:07com a grandeza.
00:09Você é um grandeza e a translates
00:09de como se tornou.
00:11Nos últimos anos,
00:12seus concursos são
00:14no domos e a grandeza
00:17com a grandeza.
00:35A conferência de partidos, ou COP17,
00:38a conferência da Unidade Nacional de Convência
00:40para a Desertificação,
00:41held em Mongolia,
00:43foi uma série de atentos
00:45para a avaliação de processo de degradação
00:47que já afectou 40% de sozinhos na terra
00:50e mais de 3.2 bilhões de pessoas.
00:52O tema foi a recuperação de rangelandes,
00:54que apoiam 2 bilhões de pessoas,
00:56incluindo 500 milhões de herders ou pastoralistas.
01:00O país, Mongolia e a Unidade Nacional,
01:02have appeado a 197 delegados
01:04gathered aqui em Ulan Bator
01:06para usar mais de 400 eventos
01:08para encontrar realmente tangível soluções
01:10para o degradação,
01:12porque recentemente de wildfires
01:13e de calorias em todo o mundo
01:15mostram que a mudança de mudança é acelerada.
01:18COP17 set sights on associação de planos
01:20para o degradação e procurando fundos
01:22para apoiar associações,
01:23mas também para apoiar associação
01:25que muitos problemas, como migradoras,
01:27são realmente o resultado do degradação.
01:30Once your land is degraded,
01:32you will not be able to plant
01:34and you will have both food and water security,
01:36but you will have also migration and displacement.
01:39So here the people are not given the choice
01:42whether they're moving from their land,
01:44yes or no,
01:44but they don't have what to sustain their livelihood
01:47and what to make it resilient.
01:48The convention estimates that inaction on land
01:51costs the world almost $900 billion a year,
01:55while investment in healthy land could generate
01:57up to $1.8 trillion
01:59through food production, water provision
02:01and carbon storing.
02:02Yet the investment so far remains modest.
02:05And if you look at how much money goes into artificial intelligence,
02:10for that matter,
02:10it is the same amount that goes into climate financing,
02:14$2 trillion a year.
02:16But when you double click on climate financing,
02:18less than 3% goes to land and water.
02:21It is way underinvested.
02:24And here this white paper actually puts forward the reasons
02:27why businesses can actually invest into soil and water,
02:31but you bring returns.
02:33Every dollar invested into soil
02:34will give you at least $4 to $30 in exchange.
02:37The ministerial dialogue on innovative financial mechanisms
02:41brought together some of the large financial institutions
02:44such as the World Bank Group,
02:46Development Banks of Asia,
02:47Africa,
02:48the Islamic World,
02:49European Investment Bank,
02:51GEF and the Climate Fund.
02:52They announced $1.3 billion of financing
02:55for land restoration and drought resilience
02:58across 23 countries on five continents.
03:01Several countries, including Host Mongolia,
03:03announced new platforms
03:05for attracting private investment into land.
03:07$1.3 billion plantation initiative
03:11has been done by Mongolian president
03:13and it is really successfully going on.
03:15Offering all these corporates and companies
03:19that you can invest like 1% of your taxable income
03:24for these range lands
03:25or the green transition, you know,
03:28for the countries.
03:29And you can decide
03:30and you can implement the project by yourself,
03:32not involved from the government.
03:36Even if COPs, including this one,
03:38fall short of reaching illegally binding global plans,
03:40they are considered to be successful
03:42as they bring countries to present national agendas
03:45and make pledges.
03:46In Riyadh, we have 35 initiatives
03:48under the Riyadh Action Agenda
03:50and we continued after that in 2025,
03:53in 2026 and we came here to Mongolia
03:56and now we have 200 or to be exact 198 initiatives
04:01under the Riyadh Action Agenda.
04:04During 12 days in Ulaanbaatar,
04:06alliances were forged,
04:07like the one between China
04:09and the League of Arab States
04:10who made a joint five-year plan
04:12of cooperation to restore land.
04:15Countries shared experience
04:16in fighting desertification.
04:34In the green zone of COP17,
04:41open to the general public,
04:42policy met real life.
04:44the people could come,
04:45meet experts, scientists, scholars,
04:47city planners,
04:48even school projects
04:50and learn how desertification influences their lives.
04:53Also, get a glimpse
04:54of Mongolian rich culture and tradition.
