00:46According to two industry sources cited by Reuters, the August 30 drone attack damaged two units
00:52primary crude oil processing, which together represent almost half of the refinery's total capacity.
00:59One of the damaged facilities, the ABT-6 unit, can process around 22,860 metric tons of crude oil per
01:08day, which is equivalent to approximately 40% of the refinery's total capacity.
01:13The second damaged unit, AT-1, has a processing capacity of about 4,860 tons per day, which represents
01:23an additional 8% of the plant's capacity.
01:26The refinery has two other primary processing units, AT-6 and AVT-2, which together represent the
01:3452% remaining of its design capacity.
01:38However, both units were already out of service before the attack, according to reports, leaving
01:45the refinery with a severely limited operating capacity.
01:50Kirishinev Teorsintes belongs to the Russian oil giant Zurgut Neftegas and has a design annual crude oil processing capacity
01:58of approximately 20 million tons,
02:01which makes it the second largest refinery in Russia by capacity, second only to the oil refinery
02:07from Omsk, which can process about 22 million tons of crude oil per year.
02:12The Leningrad region facility is particularly important for northwest Russia, as it produces approximately 2
02:20millions of tons of gasoline and 7 million tons of diesel per year.
