01:13When I was at school, younger, struggling with my period and my hormones and how I felt,
01:20combining my school life with just the way my body worked, it clicked.
01:25Our bodies are a temple, and our bodies decide and have impact on us.
01:32And that is when I decided to start my advocacy, Breaking the Cycle,
01:36to teach young girls that their body is never the source of shame and is something to always be empowered.
01:44And I know that an advocacy is not something only to be talked about.
01:48It's something we should wear with pride and something we should act on.
01:53And that's why I've started my podcast about the menstrual cycle.
01:57And as you're missing international 2026,
02:00I only want to break my advocacy further and teach young girls about their bodies.

02:53Well, I used to think that education chose me, but I truly did choose education.
03:03I believe that everyone deserves a chance to be able to have the equal opportunities and chances that are given

03:11And a personal experience of my own is my father's story.
03:15He, unfortunately, had to leave his home country in search of better opportunities and better education.
03:22And that is why I want to be able to help others around the world.

09:29As I was seeking my advocacy, it saw me and it chose me.
09:33As a multicultural young girl with African and European blood flowing through my body,
09:40I always found it hard and difficult at times when I never felt understood, accepted, and seen in certain rooms.
09:49It always put my confidence down and it made me feel like I was never good enough.
09:54However, I was deeply rooted in a culture and a mindset to dream big and not let any challenge affect
10:03you.
10:04Therefore, I created my advocacy, Echo of Hope Namibia, where I have my broadcast and I speak to certain youth
10:12and I tell them,
10:13Hey, this is coping mechanisms to help you speak up, access your emotions, express them, and be able to understand
10:23what you're going through.
10:24And therefore, I believe with the Miss Teen International title, hand in hand, together, we can create change and we
10:33can make history.
10:34Because I believe I'm not just here representing my country, but I'm representing every young teen, every young girl, and
10:42every young boy that never felt understood, heard, or seen.
