17:11One of the most compelling aspects of working on Terrifier 3 is that we have a super passionate team
17:17people.
17:18We just had a much bigger crew, so more hands on deck.
17:21We want to do better than Terrifier 2, Terrifier 1.
17:24It's definitely a huge difference from Terrifier 2.
17:28We just want the quality to be that much better, and we can achieve that with a bigger budget.
17:32I mean, we made the movie in three months now as opposed to three years, so that's a big trade

17:37It was definitely a fun challenge to be a part of, and I'm honored that we finished the film.

17:52The big thing we decided to do was make it a Christmas film.
17:56I always loved maniac Santa Clauses, but it's been done to death, and I never even thought
18:01about taking my crack at it, because what could I do really differently?
18:04I thought that was a brilliant idea to bring a horror icon into another horror genre, because
18:10you haven't really seen that done before with those type of characters.
18:14But then I said, now if I dress art up like a maniac Santa Claus, that makes art fresh.
18:20It gives him something new to play with, and it kind of makes the old maniac Santa Claus
18:24trope fresh again.
18:25Damien wrote a banger of a script for this movie, and especially the idea that it was going
18:30to be a Christmas film really got me excited.
18:40I think most people love the villain.
18:42They're just interesting.
18:43They're iconic-looking.
18:45It's just classic imagery that we're very familiar with that's ingrained.
18:50There was something about Art the Clown that was very captivating, and eerie, and creepy.
18:55That grin, that white, pale-facedness, a little bit of uneasiness to him.
19:00I was lucky that that face really resonated with people.
19:03Cold-blooded, loves killing for fun.
19:06I think that's what makes him very, very scary.
19:08I think Art the Clown's a huge part of Terrifier's success.
19:13And a lot of that comes from David Howard Thornton, who plays Art the Clown.
19:17He is such a fun character.
