00:00This movie asks, which is more important, love or sex?
00:05I want to ask you, in a world where we devore everything so quickly, love, relationships, emotion and even desire,
00:14where does this pressure come from that forces us to always perform even in our relationships?
00:24Well, I think that what's interesting about your question is that there's just so much option, right?
00:31And the world moves so fast and news comes at us so quickly and everything's on the phone.
00:37And it is hard just to be still and hard to just live in a moment and not get firmer
00:44about something else that could be happening or whatever.
00:47And I love that this film provides those moments for these characters, that they are able to sit in each
00:56other's presence and connect.
00:58And even though the story takes us away from each other, we keep coming back to each other.
01:07And there's almost this cosmic joke that they keep running into each other and they're destined to be with each
01:15other.
01:15And the universe is determined for that to be the case.
01:18And that was just so much fun to play, those patient moments and being present with each other.
01:26I think they also meet in this way where they would probably not pull off a good date if they
01:34continued on the way they do when they first meet.
01:37But the fact that they are just stripped of all facade immediately and then they keep running into each other
01:46and are forced to then work together and they have this just hilarious fighting banter.
01:52Where I think it allows for them to build a connection from somewhere deeper that's not like you're saying sort
02:00of this like shrouded by the other intentions or I don't know.
02:10It's not as like goal-oriented and it's not as ultimately fake or performative.
02:17Like they are just themselves and then that's who they actually find love with that night or like even just
02:24an enhanced sort of desire to be together.
02:27Because they've gotten to see the real person and they like what they see and they like themselves with the
02:32other person.
02:33And that is just like – that's so fun to watch.
02:39Yeah.
02:40Yeah.
02:40And it's fun for them to be a part of and so they build a, you know, a real relationship
02:44as opposed to like – as opposed to a performative one.
