00:00Ayoub, welcome to Manchester.
00:03How proud are you to be here wearing City Blue?
00:06I'm really, really happy, really proud to be here.
00:08One of the greatest clubs in the world.
00:10And I hope everything's going to be right in the future.
00:14Why does now feel like the right time for you to make this move?
00:17Yes, I think it was the right time because I was good in Lille.
00:22I felt very good, but it was a moment for me to to step over, you know,
00:26and coming in City was, I think, the right things to do.
00:30And I'm really happy and proud to be here.
00:33We got to see you at this summer's World Cup.
00:36But for those that might not be familiar with your game,
00:39how would you describe your playing style?
00:41I would say that I'm a player who plays for the team.
00:44I'm a really collective player.
00:46I try to put my teammates in the best position
00:48and to give everything, every time for the team.
00:52You made your debut at just 16 years old,
00:55an incredibly young age to be playing senior football.
00:58How did you find it?
00:59And why do you think you were trusted to play at such a young age?
01:02I don't like to say that, but I get a bit lucky
01:05because to start playing this young, you need a coach that trusts you.
01:09And I have a coach that trusts me.
01:11And then when I took my chance, I play, I give everything.
01:16Everything was right.
01:18How important has your family been on your journey in football?
01:21Very important for me.
01:22The family dedication is everything.
01:24I wouldn't be here without my family.
01:26So I'm really happy to have them next to me, really proud of them.
01:30And this is also why I'm playing football, to make proud of my family.
01:34What do you think are the most important aspects of playing as a number six?
01:39I think the most important aspect is to try to balance the team,
01:43you know, help your teammates.
01:45We know as a number six that you're not going to score 20 goals in a season.
01:49It can happen, but it's quite rare.
01:52So you know that you have to balance the team to do everything for the team and do your job.
01:56It's been a very busy summer for you, getting to play in the World Cup.
02:00What was that experience like for you?
02:02It was an amazing experience playing World Cup from Morocco.
02:06It was just amazing.
02:07The fans, all the love that I received was just the dream of a kid.
02:13And looking at English football, what are your thoughts on the Premier League?
02:17And did you grow up watching it?
02:18Yes, of course. I think the Premier League is the most attractive
02:21and most competitive championship in the world, the best championship in the world.
02:25So every player dreams to play in the Premier League.
02:28And I hope I'm going to play in the Premier League very soon, as soon as possible.
02:33And how about Manchester City?
02:35Any memories in particular stand out for you?
02:38Yeah, of course.
02:38Well, I grew up with the Manchester City of Guardiola.
02:42When he arrived, what he'd done was just amazing.
02:46But now we know that City is one of the greatest clubs in the world.
02:49And what about players?
02:50Are there any City players that have perhaps influenced your style of play?
02:53Yes, I really like to watch Kevin Durban.
02:56Also Yaya Toure.
02:57I was a bit younger, but I saw a lot of videos of him.
03:00And you've taken a look around here at the CFA.
03:03What are your first impressions and what are your thoughts on Manchester as well?
03:07Well, of what I see, I think Manchester is a great city.
03:10I also like the people here.
03:12What makes a city beautiful is the people.
03:15And I see that all the people here are really nice, really kind.
03:19And I really appreciate it.
03:21When you spoke to Hugo Vaiana, did he discuss with you how he sees your future here at the club?
03:26We discussed about a lot of things.
03:28Of course, the future also, because this is why I'm here for the future.
03:32We know that in the great club, we need to win.
03:37And what's important is that I'm going to give 100%, be always here for the team.
03:42And then it's the future.
03:43You mentioned the future there.
03:45You're part of an exciting midfield rebuild.
03:47How much are you looking forward to being a part of that and working with Enzo Mareska?
03:51Yes.
03:52I watched Enzo Mareska, who is an amazing coach.
03:55I can't wait to be trained by him as soon as possible.
03:58Even the team, I saw really big players.
04:01I can't wait to see them in the dressing room, to play with them, to share good moments with them.
04:05Have you set yourself any targets? What does success look like to you?
04:09Yes, I think here the most important is to win.
04:13In the big club, you need to win.
04:15And this is all what we're going to do.
04:17And we're going to give 100% to achieve all our goals.
04:21You've mentioned already you're eager to represent the club.
04:24But how much are you looking forward in particular to playing at the Etihad for the first time?
04:28Yes, of course.
04:29When you come in a new club, I think the most important is to meet the new player, all the
04:35staff, everything.
04:35But also the fans, because you know that they're the ones who are going to share for you,
04:40give 100% travel for you.
04:42So I can't wait to see them and make them proud also.
04:46Ayub, congratulations again on joining the club and we wish you the best of luck.
04:50Thank you. Many thanks. I really appreciate it.
