Art installation lights up Kyiv monument as Ukrainians hope for victory
An audiovisual art installation has transformed Kyiv's towering Mother Ukraine monument into a giant canvas of light on Sunday (August 23). The projection, titled "The Future Remembers", covers the landmark with Ukrainian symbols including the national flag, trident, flowers and wings. Residents gathered to watch the display, filming the monument and posing for photos as the images illuminated the night sky. For many in the crowd, the installation was both a celebration of Ukrainian identity and an expression of hope for victory in the war. The light show will be projected on the monument each evening through September 1.
