00:42It is a pleasure for me to be here in Anantapur and to lay foundation to the next phase of
00:48growth in our renewable energy journey.
00:49Because it is not merely about a project. For us, this is a statement of confidence from the entire renewable
00:55energy ecosystem that yes, Andhra Pradesh is back, Andhra Pradesh is ready, Andhra Pradesh will be number one in renewable
01:02energy sector.
01:03This belief matters a lot for us. As all of you know, between 2019 and 2024, as my colleague just
01:09shared, in five years, only six megawatts of renewable energy capacity was added.
01:15Our Honorable Prime Minister Srinarendra Modi Ji has a bold vision. He wants India to be self-reliant in energy,
01:22all forms of energy.
01:24And I believe that renewable energy will play a very, very important role. And this confidence, this vote of confidence
01:30from Grishbhai is very, very important for Andhra Pradesh and for India to take forward this journey.
01:36If you look at it, in the last one year, Andhra Pradesh has made substantive strides. We were the fourth
01:41largest addition to renewable energy.
01:43For my Chief Minister, that is not good. I tried to explain to him that between 19 to 24, only
01:49six megawatts was added.
01:51And in one year, we added close to about 4.2 gigawatts of renewable energy. But he was very disappointed
01:56in all of us.
01:57He said Andhra Pradesh should be number one. And that will be the defining moment for us.
02:02So for me, Grishbhai, we need to double down. We need to work together. And for me, Andhra Pradesh has
02:07to be number one.
02:08I know I am competing with Rajasthan. I know I am competing with Gujarat, where there is plenty of land.
02:13But look in front of you. There are farmers here. Farmers who understand the power of renewable energy.
02:18Farmers who understand the importance of renewable energy. Farmers who understand that renewable energy can create a livelihood for them,
02:24for their children.
02:25And if you notice, as a district, Anandapur and district, people are very humble.
02:29People are very docile. They're very welcoming.
02:31And they do not believe that legal litigation is the way forward.
02:34But they believe that we can sit across the table, resolve our issues.
02:37So I would request you to double down on Anandapur and make this your hub and ensure that Andhra Pradesh
02:42becomes number one in renewable energy every year.
02:45What is really exciting to hear is close to 40% of the workforce that is coming from Andhra Pradesh
02:51are actually women.
02:51That is a very, very powerful contribution that Suzan is doing to society.
02:56If you look at it year on year, in the last one year, the energy demand has gone up by
03:0017%.
03:01And this is the only state where we have seen that kind of energy growth.
03:04That means more investments have to be made.
03:06So when I look at this, when I discuss with my team, I believe that energy can be tokenized.
03:10And green molecules can actually be created in India.
03:12Today, if you look at it, the major challenge for our rupee is because we import a lot of oil.
03:17I believe that that substitution should start.
03:19And that is where green hydrogen, green molecules will play a very, very important role.
03:24And as a state, we believe that Andhra Pradesh can be the Saudi Arabia of clean energy.
03:28And we can contribute to this, not only to Andhra Pradesh, not only to India, but to the entire world.
03:34That is a bold vision my chief minister has.
03:36And as all of you know, he's truly a visionary.
03:38He doesn't sleep.
03:39He doesn't let any one of us sleep.
03:41So that is the drive that he has.
03:42And I believe that all of us together, all the powerhouses here, I see Tata's, I see Wari, I see
03:47Axis.
03:48Of course, this is on the dais.
03:49All of you together can create this ecosystem.
03:52And I look forward to working with all of you.
03:54I offer to Girish by that we'll create an advisory board to bring all the titans of the industries to
04:00come together, meet on a monthly basis in Andhra Pradesh, give your advice, thrash out any issues in the state.
04:06And I'll ensure that the energy secretary will be there.
04:08We'll also work on getting the secretary in the chief minister's office, who's responsible for the energy department, to also
04:15be part of that workforce.
04:16So that we can ensure that whatever issues that you have in the field can actually be resolved.
04:21And we can deliver on this promise of being one, number one in renewable energy.
