00:00India has decided to become a space-faring nation. It has never decided before. We are
00:06working on a human space program which is known as Mission Gaganyan, which is going
00:10to take astronauts to space and bring them back safely. We are also working on our own
00:14space station, Bharti Antrik Station, aiming to look at its operationalization by mid-30s.
00:21And eventually, we want to land an Indian on the moon by 2040. These are not slogans.
00:28These are developmental programs. And they will be built by, in part, some people in
00:35this room. Some of you will work directly on them. Most of you will not. But every single
00:42one of you will graduate into a country whose ambition in your working lifetime is going
00:48to grow larger than any ambition India has held in the past. The materials that will withstand
00:56the re-entry will be developed in the laboratories they will work in. The chips that will fly
01:00on the satellites will be developed in the fabs that you are going to work in. The software
01:05that will control our launch vehicles will be written by your peers. Indian Institute of
01:12Technology, Tirupati, is going to matter much more in the next 10 years than it has mattered
01:18in the last 10 years. Our economy is expanding. Our technological capabilities are growing. A vibrant
01:26entrepreneurial ecosystem has matured in the technology domain. We have adopted the ambitious
01:32and noble goal of Viksit Bharat that is becoming a developed country by 2047. Hence, I believe
01:41there are no old industries. Only industries waiting for new thinkers. The opportunity for your generation
01:48is not simply to enter existing industries but to help improve and redefine them.
