“I’m God’s lonely man.”

Some people fear being alone.
For Travis Bickle, loneliness has become a way of life.

🎬 Taxi Driver (1976)

Travis Bickle spends his nights driving a cab through the darkest streets of New York City, watching a world he feels increasingly disconnected from.

Unable to find belonging or meaningful human connection, his isolation slowly turns into resentment. What begins as disgust toward the corruption surrounding him becomes an obsession with doing something about it—on his own terms.

But the longer Travis stares into the darkness, the harder it becomes to tell whether he wants to save the city… or whether the city is slowly destroying him.

Sometimes, loneliness doesn’t just isolate you. It changes you.
