00:05Imagine being a baby, born in a small country, Africa.
00:10And at only one month old, your father disappears from your life.
00:15You don't really understand because you're still a baby.
00:20Until one day a man comes, adopts you, gives you his name, raises you as his own.
00:28And at 14 years old, your mother sits you down and tells you that the man you have known as
00:36your father your entire life is actually not your biological father.
00:41That is the story of my life.
00:45I searched for many, many years.
00:49Until one day I took a DNA test.
00:53And I found a long-lost cousin that I didn't even know existed.
00:59And he put me in contact with my biological father.
01:03What I realized there is that science helped me restore my identity.
01:11And until that moment, I knew that science was going to be part of my future.
01:16Many years later, I found a way to bring those two aspects of my life together.
01:23When I was doing my scientifical studies, I was in an internship in ophthalmology.
01:29I was quite interested in cataract operations.
01:34I was very impressed because I realized that in a 20-minute surgery,
01:39you could transform someone's life from blind to being able to see.
01:45And when I heard that so many children in Africa were born with cataracts,
01:52blind, were staying blind because they weren't given treatment,
01:56I felt a huge sense of injustice.
02:00The next day of the surgeries, when those children were getting their eye patches off,
02:06they could see their parents for the first time.
02:09They could see colors, lights.
02:12They could see the world for the first time.
02:14And in that moment, I realized that I was not only giving sight back to people,
02:20I was giving them the opportunity for a new life.

02:28My name is Josephine, and I have the honor of representing Denmark.
02:34Last year, my life unexpectedly changed.
02:39I was out for a run, and suddenly I collapsed.
02:51When I woke up, there were people surrounding me, helping me,
02:56until the ambulance came.
02:58As I came to the hospital, the doctors discovered that I was born with a heart condition,
03:03one that was never diagnosed correctly as a child.
03:07Today, I proudly serve on the board of the Children's Club within the Danish Heart Foundation.
03:13Here, we help create meaningful experiences for children living with heart disease and their families.
03:20I also created my beauty for purpose, ballet and movement.
03:25Dance has always been my safe space, and it gave me confidence, joy, and a place where I could feel
03:31free.
03:32I want to give that same feeling to children living with heart disease.
03:36Not because I want them to become ballet dancers,
03:39but because I want them to discover that they are so much more than their diagnosis.
03:45Recently, I met a girl living with a pacemaker.
03:48She reminded me that children should not be defined by their illness.
03:52They should be defined by their dreams.
03:54And I hope to help create that future.
03:58Because to me, beauty with a purpose is not about changing a million lives overnight.

04:18I will tell you about my grandmother, Eliane.
04:21And for 10 years, I watched her fight against five cancer.
04:36I was 17 years old when she passed away, and it was too soon.
04:45But before I lost her, she told me a lesson that would become the health of my purpose.
04:54I remember the moment when I would do her makeup before her medical appointment.
05:01I remember that she would smile, she was happy about that.
05:08And when she looked at herself in the mirror, something changed.
05:13For a few moments, she was no longer, she was not, sorry, she no longer saw the disease.
05:22She saw herself.
05:25Sometimes, I would put a little glitter in her eyes.
05:30But you know what?
05:32The most beautiful thing was not the glitter on her eyes.
05:36It was the sparkle she has in her eyes.
05:40And that is when I understood something that I have stayed with me since the first time.
05:49Makeup was not the solution for my grandmother.
05:53Presence was.
05:55This is where a reflection of hope was born.

06:12My project is not simply doing someone's makeup or hair.

06:21But it helped her to reconnect with herself, with the woman she had always been.

06:40I'm 18 years old, and it's an honor to be here and represent my beautiful country, Hungary.
06:47My project is focusing on the elderly people.
06:50Because in our fast-paced world, there are many elderly people who are left behind and they cannot give the
07:02enough attention they deserve.
07:04And I think all the people deserve to be heard, to be loved.
07:09I started my project, ever I become Miss Worth Hungary.
07:15Because it was something completely important to me.
07:20And during my project, I also had the great opportunity to work with UNICEF Hungary as well, to support disadvantaged
07:27children.
07:28And also, I became an ambassador in a wheelchair beauty pageant, besides doing this elderly people help, and working in
07:43a nursing home.
07:44And as I mentioned, I'm only 18 years old, and of course, I don't have all the answers, and I
07:50don't know who I am yet, and I don't know who I will become.
07:54But I know one thing, that who I want to be, or who I want to be, hope to be.
08:02I want to be a good person, a person that motivates others, and also to show the world that I
08:10am able to stand here, and show them that they are worth, and they deserve love, and everything.
08:20And I want to finish my speech, another beautiful quote from my favorite book, The Little Prince.

08:29What makes the desert beautiful, is that somewhere it hides a veil.
08:33Because I believe every person carries something valuable, and sometimes we only have to do is to look after it,

08:49My name is Lucrezia Mangilli, Miss World Italy 2024, and I proudly represent my country at Miss World 2026 in
09:01Vietnam.
09:03Today, I am here, not only as a beauty queen, but as a young woman with a story, a battle,
09:12and a purpose.
09:12Because last year, my life suddenly changed.
09:18I was diagnosed with a rare cancer, and in one instant, my world collapsed.
09:26And I believe that faith gives meaning to our pain, and I found the strength to transform my pain into
09:37a mission, into purpose.
09:39Because after my recovery, I was chosen as an ambassador of My Body is a Temple campaign, an international awareness
09:50campaign against gender-based violence.
09:55And this campaign wants to educate, but respect for ourselves, our body, and for others.
10:07And this year, together with the women leading this project, I flew to Mexico.
10:13And there was signed an official partnership between the Italian Foundation, My Body is a Temple by La Stella de
10:23Daniele Onlus, and the Mexican Foundation, Unidas por un Sueño.
10:29This foundation helped women, victims of violence, start again, offering them a job, a work, an independence.
10:41Through handmade clothes, these women transformed their pain into purpose.
10:47And for me, this is the most important symbol of female empowerment.
10:52Because I truly believe that when women support women, they become unstoppable.
10:58And I also think that big changes come from many small actions, and I want to be one of them.
11:08And also, this campaign does not stop here, because I am so proud that starting from October, we will bring
11:17this campaign into my region, Priuli Venezia Giulia.

11:37When I was 12, I lost my mother to cancer.
11:44And that's why I co-created Nobody Understands Me with Cancer Support Netherlands.
11:51We created a community for teens who have been through the same thing.
11:57Do not feel alone.
12:00And sometimes that's to talk, and sometimes it's just being together and being there.
12:08I also created Daily Impact.
12:12It's a free app you can download in the App Store that's connected to the Sustainable Development Goals.
12:18You can do a daily action that positively contributes to one of the goals.
12:26Ultimately, I want to build things that outlast me, systems and tools that are not dependent on me to grow.

12:51My name is Maya Todd, and I am extremely proud to be representing Poland on this stage today.
12:57I study global business, and alongside that, my greatest passion is music.
13:02Singing has always taught me that a voice is something to be shared, something to be shared with the people
13:08in the world that do not have a voice and do not have a platform to be heard.
13:14That, to me, is the true meaning of Beauty with a Purpose, and exactly why I am standing on this
13:19stage today.
13:20For me, that realization started with the people who taught me how to love, how to walk, how to live.
13:27Those people are my grandparents.
13:29They gave me everything without ever asking for anything in return.
13:33They taught me who I am without complaint, but when I grew older, I realized how much weaker they had
13:40become.
13:40And that moment didn't just move me, it built something in me.
13:44A conviction that growing older should never mean growing smaller.
13:49That is why I created Moving with Maya.
13:52We worked with people one at a time, building strength safely and building independence through exercises and movements that had
14:01the aim of improving the quality and the length of a life.
14:05These workshops not only did that, but also brought people together and bridged generational boundaries.
14:11I wanted to create a space where age is a bridge rather than a boundary.
14:17Because my grandparents deserve someone to come back and say to them, you still can and you still matter.
14:23And I believe all the people around the world who have been underestimated deserve the same.
14:29This is why I stand before you here today.
14:31As a granddaughter, finally giving back to the people that made her.
14:35And as an advocate for all the people around the world who quietly have been taught to disappear.

14:51I am Vitoria Babineci and it's an honor to be standing here before you as a former athlete, as a
15:01gymnastics coach, a science of communication student and as Miss World Portugal 2026.
15:07As a former athlete, I experienced exactly how sports can change a person and how sports can change someone's life.
15:18It gave me strength, it gave me discipline, but above all, it gave me something that I feel like every
15:25person searches for their entire lives.
15:29It gave me a sense of belonging. And with that feeling, at 18 years old, I decided to take a
15:37step forward and I became a gymnastics coach.
15:41So I stopped being an athlete. And being on that side of the mat, so I was not competing anymore,
15:49I was teaching, it changed completely my life.
15:53It changed all my vision about the world because I realized something very important and that I believe that I
16:00will carry for the rest of my life.
16:04That gymnastics and sports should not be a privilege and it should be a right.
16:10So with all of this combination of me being a coach and of me being a gymnastics athlete, I decided
16:20to create a project, Active Hearts, Active Hearts Portugal, that was born from a very simple sentence, which is sports
16:31for everybody.
16:33So despite your age, your condition or your background, everyone is welcome in this community and everyone can experience and
16:48can experience the sport and this opportunity because here every exercise is adapt and every mat and every mat has
16:59no differences.

17:07My name is Elizabeth Reynes and I proudly represent Spain. I want to start off with a simple question.
17:15Does someone here remember their first day of school? I do. I remember it perfectly. I was so excited to
17:26start to discover, to learn until I arrived.
17:31Then I knew something was wrong with me. Letters seemed to dance in front of my eyes.
17:38They were like playing games on me. They couldn't stand still. So I knew something was wrong.
17:45I saw all my classmates were having fun, were discovering. Me, on the other hand, I was having a lot
17:53of trouble.
17:54I was sad. I felt less than the others. And one day, one woman came up to me and she
18:01didn't tell me what was wrong with me. She changed the phrase and she said,
18:07How can I help you learn? How can I help you learn? That day, everything changed. I got diagnosed with
18:14dyslexia.
18:15So I created my project, The Rhythm of Letters, the Rhythm of Letters, the Right to Read project. Because we
18:21all have the right to read.
18:24The base of my project is my book, The Rhythm of Letters, that I created and wrote by myself.
18:32The first thing I got told when I launched my book was, Oh, a girl with dyslexia wrote a book?
18:39How funny.
18:41Yeah, exactly. That's why I created it. Because of that quote.
18:46Dyslexia doesn't limit your talent, your intelligence or your worth.

19:01My name is Lysovska Valeria and I'm representing Ukraine. My situation in my country has personally touched my life.
19:10Because my father died defending our country in February 2023 in Donetsk.
19:20And that's why when I got this news, I decided why am I supposed to be on the other side
19:29and just look if I know that I can help.
19:33I know that I won't help. Because I know that I have a power, I have an opportunity to be
19:40the voice of my country.
19:43And this loss became one of the most reasons of coming back to my country to help.
19:49And that's why I choose to dedicate myself to charity. That's why through my Beauty with a Purpose project, it's
20:02not only one project.
20:03I'm trying to support everyone who needs vulnerable children, internally displaced families, elderly people, and everyone whose lives have been
20:18affected by unforeseen situations.
20:21And for me, Beauty with a Purpose is not about one single act or one specific cause.
20:30It's about being there for people in difficult situations, supporting those who need help and using my voice, my time,
20:39and my heart to make a difference.
20:41I believe that true beauty is found in the kindness we give and the lives we are able to touch.
20:50And I really hope that my father is so proud of me and I just have a mind that why
