At 70 years old, Frank takes on the Atlantic Ocean alone, because why make things easy now? In a small rowing boat and with no one to answer to, he sets out to break a world record and quietly defy everything society expects of age, sense, and self-preservation. What unfolds is a brutal, often beautiful battle between one very stubborn man and a vast, indifferent sea.

00:02There are some things you'd expect to find in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
00:06An endless horizon, rolling fog and towering waves.
00:11What you wouldn't expect is a 70-year-old from Oldham.

01:00The entrants will be competing to achieve the fastest crossing in their class and a new world record.
01:08An almost unimaginable test of strength and endurance.
01:12Maybe this is not such a good idea.
01:14I've been rowing this boat the wrong way.

01:21Look at that beauty!
01:22Do you think I'm too old for that?
