01:46One mother placed her baby in a basket and sent him down the Nile River, trusting God to protect him.

02:15Pharaoh's daughter found the baby and raised him as her own.
02:20His name was Moses.
02:31Moses grew up in Pharaoh's house as a prince of Egypt.
02:40But when he was older, he saw how cool Pharaoh was to the Hebrew people.

02:56One day, he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew slave, and in anger, he killed him.
03:10So Moses fled into the wilderness.
03:28Years later, God spoke to Moses through a burning bush.

03:54for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.

04:09He told him to go back and lead his people to freedom.

04:26Then you will see his power.
04:29And you will know that he is the one true God.
04:43God sent powerful plagues over Egypt.
04:47Rivers turned to blood.
04:49Frogs covered the land.
04:52Swarms of insects filled the air.
04:58Livestock became sick, pain, fire, and darkness.
05:11Until Pharaoh finally let the people go.
05:15Leave and take your people with you.
05:28But Pharaoh changed his mind and chased them with his army.
05:32Capture them and bring Moses to me.

05:38Moses, what are we going to do?
05:42And through a mighty miracle, God rescued his people.
05:56Moses, stretch out your hand over the sea.
06:01God parted the Red Sea so they could escape.
06:14They crossed over to the other side, safe and finally free.
06:25And on a mountain called Sinai, God gave Moses the Ten Commandments.
06:32These laws showed people how to live in a way that honored God and cared for others.
06:40But the people still struggled.
06:43They often turned away.
06:46So God raised up leaders, judges, and prophets to guide them.
