00:04The company is announcing a big investment in LATAM.
00:07So my first question is, why now?
00:09And what role does LATAM play in Amazon strategy in the world?
00:15Yeah, well, let's flip it around.
00:18I'll start with what role Latin America plays.
00:22You know, an incredible region, obviously, very large, very diverse region.
00:28And we have, you know, some of our fastest growing countries in terms of prime members here in Latin America.
00:38And so it has been a high priority region for us, actually, for quite a few years now.
00:46You know, we talked earlier today about the importance of not only local storytelling and how much that resonates and
00:53obviously the incredible slate that Javier showed.
00:57But also the fact that our global originals, so a lot of the programming that we're making out of the
01:04U.S., whether it's like young adult series or some of our bigger movies,
01:09they play so well and resonate so well with audiences here in Latin America, that this really continues to be,
01:18you know, at the top of our list of priority regions to continue to invest in.
01:24We did invest a few years ago.
01:26We started investing in original programming and picking up sports rights.
01:31You saw some of the story earlier today.
01:34And we've just continued to see that growth and that success.
01:38And so we believe that this investment is really going to be key to continuing to drive that growth in
01:43the future.
