02:48phase of the race, by the way, where we saw constant
02:50attacks. A very strong looking Mark
02:52Hirschi also attacking and being
02:54brought back in. The main
02:56peloton was getting smaller and smaller and every
02:58time it was because the front end was being stretched
03:00like a piece of elastic constantly with
03:02every single attack. It was a fascinating
03:04phase of the race and one which
03:06spelled the end for our breakaway
03:08too. Strong
03:10ride by La Ronde, Heidemann and Thiele
03:12but they were back in the fold
03:14and that just meant new riders coming to the fore and
03:16also attacking. Front of the race split into
03:18three groups, all the while
03:20the blue leaders jersey of Isaac
03:22Del Toro making all the right moves
03:24as well. Well
03:26after we'd seen the attack of Alexi Brunel
03:28earlier, it was his young teammate
03:30the young Frenchman Theo Ebert
03:32the 22 year old for Total Energie
03:34who went off by himself. He was allowed a bit
03:36of room to get going
03:38out front but I have to say it was a really strong
03:40ride. He took
03:42the first points at Waldenberg
03:44and then it was Benjamin Thomas jumping clear of the group
03:46the Frenchman who'd ridden a brilliant
03:48prologue to take the
03:49three points. Nikias Ant got the
03:52one point there. That was
03:54the first of three intermediate sprint points
03:56the third and final of which would have bonus seconds
03:58attached to it too.
04:00And Theo Ebert was doing such a good ride
04:02that it teased out Wilco Kelderman
04:04the Dutch road race champion
04:06spotting an opportunity to
04:08hook up with Ebert out front
04:10Wilco Kelderman since winning that Dutch national
04:12title looking like a changed rider
04:14this season really attacking aggressive
04:16and very strong indeed
04:18He got up to Theo Ebert
04:20and the two of them worked really well together
04:22they never had a massive lead
04:23they weren't allowed a massive lead
04:25but they were over 30 seconds
04:26something like 40 seconds at one point
04:28for the two of them
04:29and it wasn't exactly like Ebert
04:30was hanging on to Kelderman either
04:32this was a really strong ride by the two of them
04:34as they approached
04:35Schwerbisch hail for the first time
04:37a massive crowd out
04:38on a Thursday afternoon
04:40and the town mayor himself getting to ring
04:42the Tour de France bell
04:43no less
04:44on the finish line
04:45big crowd
04:46on the rise to the line
04:48the riders seeing it for the first time
04:50and they had one 12km
04:51clockwise lap
04:52going over the river Kocha
04:54to bring this one home
04:55and trust me
04:56this finale
04:57was fascinating
04:58as well
04:59Kelderman
05:00and the young Frenchman
05:01Theo Ebert
05:02brought back
05:03but then we had this
05:03very steep climb in the middle
05:05of the final lap
05:06which had bonus seconds available
05:08at the top
05:09as well
05:09it was Matthias Wadzec
05:10the first to go
05:11in fact it looked like
05:12he was riding clear
05:13but then came Louis Barre
05:14in the colours of his
05:15Melissa bike in the yellow
05:16who had Barre got with him
05:18must be one of the best climbers
05:19surely
05:19well
05:20it was none other than
05:21Paul Manier
05:22in the green jersey
05:23probably the best sprinter
05:25in this race
05:25in fact arguably so
05:26and Paul Manier
05:28is so often the man
05:29that people claim
05:29can't climb
05:30I think he reminded us today
05:32he definitely can
05:33but
05:33Louis Barre
05:34is fresh from winning
05:35a hilly stage
05:36in the Tour de Bologna
05:37and he put Paul Manier
05:38right on the ropes
05:40Manier doing his best
05:41to stay with him
05:41but as they came
05:42towards the rise
05:43to the finish line
05:44it was Louis Barre
05:46riding clear
05:46and really kicking away
05:47from Paul Manier
05:48he had to do this
05:49because Manier
05:50would have been
05:51very good at beating him
05:53in the sprint
05:53if they come to the finish
05:54together
05:54Manier being caught
05:55by the next group
05:56but I have to say
05:57he did well to hang on
05:58Isaac Del Toro
06:00in the race leader's jersey
06:01knew he had to defend
06:02for himself
06:03but Louis Barre
06:04had already done enough
06:06the Frenchman
06:07rounding in
06:08on his second
06:08professional victory
06:10in quick order
06:10after that Tour de Bologna
06:12stage win
06:12and in front of a massive crowd
06:14at Swerbisch Hale
06:16it was a wonderful moment
06:17for the Frenchman
06:18and with that win
06:19he took over
06:20the race lead
06:21what would happen behind
06:22a fantastic sprint
06:23between
06:24Nataniel Tesfacion
06:25Giulio Ciccone
06:26and the race leader
06:28Isaac Del Toro
06:29Del Toro
06:29just getting second place
06:31and those six bonus seconds
06:33Marc Hirschi in between
06:34the two groups
06:36yeah it's nice
06:37when you see the start list
06:39it's for sure
06:40it's a really good victory
06:43but I knew
06:44I had really good legs
06:46when I arrived here
06:46I'm really happy
06:48to win today
06:48and to beat
06:51that name's
06:52a really strong rider
06:54so it's
06:54it's really nice
07:05so Louis Barry
07:06with his second
07:07professional victory
07:08and with the 10 second
07:09bonus on the line
07:10he was looking
07:11at the blue
07:12leader's jersey
07:14there it was
07:14the stage result
07:15now Isaac Del Toro
07:17still right there
07:1816 seconds
07:19behind the Frenchman
07:20Louis Barry
07:21took over the race lead
07:22and will hold it
07:23into stage
07:23to day three
07:25there's the move
07:26as Del Toro down one
07:27but Ciccone and Zambanini
07:29with a fantastic sprint
07:30there
07:30the Italian
07:31three Italians
07:32snapping at the heels
