नागपूरमधील अंबाझरी तलावाच्या पुनरुज्जीवनाबाबत मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी माहिती दिली. एकेकाळी महत्त्वाचा जलस्रोत असलेला आणि नंतर पर्यटनस्थळ म्हणून विकसित झालेला अंबाझरी तलाव जवळपास कोरडा पडला होता. नागपूर महापालिकेच्या प्रयत्नांमुळे तलावात पुन्हा मुबलक पाणी आले असून त्याचे पुनरुज्जीवन झाले आहे.

तलावात वॉटर हायसिंथ हटविणे, प्रदूषण नियंत्रणासाठी 13 MLD क्षमतेचा STP उभारणे आणि जवळच्या भागातील सांडपाणी प्रक्रिया करूनच तलावात सोडण्याची व्यवस्था करण्यात येत आहे. यासोबतच तलावात कयाकिंगला प्रोत्साहन दिले जात असून तरुणांचे प्रशिक्षण सुरू आहे. कयाकिंगमधून भविष्यात भारताला ऑलिम्पिकमध्ये अधिक पदके मिळतील, अशी अपेक्षा फडणवीस यांनी व्यक्त केली.
