00:00It's not something you see every day.
00:03Three men sporting balaclavas, stealing £10,000 worth of life-size bronze deer.
00:11Well that's what self-starter David Noyes saw when he checked his CCTV back in July.
00:17He said he was heartbroken to lose the animals from his prized collection.
00:22They looked like they were bank robbers, they were from head to toe in black, they had balaclavas
00:29on, you can see they've got gloves on.
00:31When your actual castle is breached, that is frightening.
00:37People who know me know where I've come from, you know at 16 when I left home it was from
00:43a council house, my parents were absolutely brilliant.
00:46Everything I've achieved I've worked hard for and that's what's so gutting.
00:52Following the theft David took to Facebook to share the CCTV footage, there it got much
00:58more traction than he'd ever have expected.
01:01I mean when I first put it on Facebook and it started to go from just my group of friends,
01:08a couple of thousand people and then it went to 10,000, then it went to 20,000 and I
01:12said
01:12to my wife Linda, this is going to go to 100,000 and then it starts tripling, it's like it
01:17just
01:18suddenly goes more and more and more and then all of a sudden it's hit the million people
01:22have looked at it and there's not been one nasty comment, no, oh look, one's absolutely
01:27hideous, I hope you get them back.
01:28These guys were totally missing for about a fortnight, but then suddenly they turned
01:33up, on show, just five minutes away from where we are.
01:37After I'd put it onto Facebook, a friend of mine had literally driven past the garden
01:43and said they're not even hidden, they're on show, you can see them, they look very much
01:48like your ones.
01:49I think personally it got a little bit too hot and I think they were on show for one reason,
01:55to say look, come and take them back, we don't want them.
01:59The deer were returned to David's property by police and now stand back where they belong.
02:04Chloe Brewster for KMTV in Horton Kirby.
02:07I'll see you next time.
02:07Well, maybe you can see them on Instagram in the post.
