00:00An earthquake may last only a few seconds, but its consequences remain for months, even years.
00:06Following the emergency of August 10, things began to change in the country.
00:10People, trucks, food, aid.
00:12From the west to the center of the country, thousands of people have joined together to support the affected families.
00:17because of the earthquake.
00:18Not in just one place, but in many places, at the same time.
00:21In Bogotá, Cali and Manizales, the collection points have become meeting places.
00:26People who arrive with donations and volunteers who receive, sort, and organize them.
00:31In Valle Caldas, Risaralda and Chocó, where the blow was felt most strongly, that aid has continued in
00:37the shelters.
00:38Citizens, volunteers, and authorities have worked to support those who lost everything and offer them a place to stay and rest.
00:46and feel safe.
00:48Today, community members have been feeding the affected families daily, and some have even contributed from their kitchens.
00:55official letter to the emergency service.
00:57Cheps and gastronomic organizations from different regions have joined together to bring hot food to these places.
01:04Solidarity has not stood still.
01:06It has moved by land and air on humanitarian flights, trucks that have crossed the country, and shipments that
01:12They have passed from hand to hand until they reached their destination.
01:15Behind each transfer there are institutions, emergency agencies, companies and citizens who have contributed from their place.
01:20The emergency affects some, but it has moved us all.
01:24And that solidarity has also found other ways to reach people.
01:28Through certain charities, art auctions, and special performances, art has become another way to support and help.
01:34to those who need it today.
01:36However, not all needs can be packed in a box.
01:40There are families who are still waiting for news of missing persons.
01:43There are those who need information, guidance, someone to listen to them, and there are wounds that are not visible.
01:50That's why, amidst all the trucks and donations, there has also been something quieter.
01:55Psychosocial support teams have accompanied communities in facing the fear, uncertainty, and pain that
02:01It leaves a tragedy.
02:02The losses are incalculable, that's true.
02:05But the earthquake has also set something enormous in motion.
02:07The solidarity of an entire country, not just one city.
02:11Rebuilding doesn't just mean putting up walls; it also means regaining peace of mind and feeling connected again.
02:18And to know that from one end of the country to the other there are millions of hands willing to do the same, to appear
02:24when it's needed most.
