00:33and this past week I was visiting Odisha.
00:37I have some friends family there and I was going to say hello.
00:40Now while I was there I ate some of the most delicious food that I have had in India
00:45and unfortunately it was so delicious that I ate way too much of it.
00:51Over several meals I just kept shoveling the food in.
00:54Now my body is not used to eating that kind of food, those fresh vegetables,
00:59so I ended up not being able to digest all of that food.
01:03So what had happened was during the night I started getting nauseous
01:08and I started vomiting for like 12 straight hours every 15 to 20 minutes.
01:13It was horrible.
01:14In the morning I was severely dehydrated and I was really feeling worried for my health.
01:20Now the family I was with wasted no time.
01:23They came, they picked me up and they took me straight to the local government hospital
01:27where they treated me absolutely phenomenally.
01:30They got me a bed right away and they started giving me IV fluids,
01:34anti-nausea meds and even pain medication for my back
01:38which was in extreme soreness and tightness.
01:40Now over the next like two hours I slowly was rehabilitated with their care
01:46but I was really nervous about how much this was going to cost me.
01:49You know, if this had happened in America, it would be easily a few thousand dollars to get this type
01:54of treatment,
01:54even just a simple IV drip.
01:57But I was shocked at the end of my stay to learn that it was completely free
02:01and they were just, you know, there for me and for my health
02:05and they weren't worried about how much money I had or my ability, you know, to pay for it.
02:10So I just want to give a huge shout out to the government hospital and the state of Odisha,
02:16the family that I was visiting for letting me get healthy.
02:20And they even gave me additional medications just in case I got sick again later on.
02:25So yeah, I had an absolutely phenomenal experience there and I look forward to visiting Odisha again in the future.
