00:00Do you have, like, your own personal secret weapon preparing for Miss Charm?
00:08So far, sa nilabas kong performance the past months ago.
00:15So maybe we just need to work on mga techniques and how maybe excel to the other candidates.
00:24So, ayun, we've been working on it still, sa Pasarela.
00:27And then, of course, my communication skills.
00:31And yun, yung hair and makeup.
00:33So we need to master that one because we have everyday events that we need to do our own hair
00:40and makeup.
00:40So, and then aside from it, of course, we just need to take care of ourselves so that we can
00:47present ourselves internationally.
00:49So we should be prepared and represent Philippines better way.
00:54Minsan, di ba, parang sobrang pressure, nakaka-stress.
00:57Yes, ayun po.
00:58So we need to take care of ourselves.
01:00So, especially our mental health.
01:03So, when it comes to our team naman, hindi naman super sagad yung trainings.
01:07At, um, as much as possible, yung mga trainings namin, sakto lang na hindi kami sobrang pagod.
01:16And then, also, ayun, like, we need to also settle down.
01:21We need time to ourselves to focus para hindi naman sobrang sagad for the pageantry.
01:27Something that's been important to me is making sure that I'm off the grid at least once every two weeks.
01:33So that means going to hike a mountain or go to a beach where I have no cell signal.
01:38And that's made sure that I'm really centered and making sure that I'm fully focused on getting that fifth crown
01:44for the Philippines.
01:46Yes, because having me time is just as important as all the rigorous training that we're going through.
01:51So, we remember na si April before worked as an OFW.
01:58So, can you share with us how that experience has shaped you to become the queen that you are today?
02:05Of course, it's shaped me to the empowered April Smith right now.
02:10You know, working abroad has never been easy.
02:13You've been away with your family, to your support system, and to your comfort zone.
02:19So, it's not easy.
02:20But what keeps me stayed is my perseverance and, of course, the goals.
02:26So, you just need to focus on it.
02:28And it also, for the pageantry, it also helped me as an OFW.
02:33Kasi parang dami kong natutunan when it comes to the services because I work in a hotel industry.
02:40Yeah.
02:40So, it made me even stronger and also parang very natutunan ko na how would you use those two platforms
02:51in your life.
02:53So, it shaped me and it helped me a lot.
02:58Cheers.
