00:00In pop nationalism, you are a nationalist only when you hate someone.
00:04You have to be a hater.
00:05Whereas the real nationalist is like Swami Vivekananda.

00:17These two personalities, they represent India abroad, even today.

00:24So that's the right kind of nationalism.
00:26But pop nationalism has gone insane.
00:30Pop nationalism is about saying, me, my thought, I was born here, so everything about me has to be great.

00:37Einstein saw the horrors of the world war and the atom bombs exploding.
00:41And he said, nationalism is the measles of mankind.
00:44He was talking of the Hitler kind of nationalism.
00:47Our Indian philosophies, the Shraddarshan, the constitution itself,
00:50they were representing a very different kind of nationalism.
00:54And that's the nation India should aspire to become.
