00:08on a motorway in eastern Hungary on Sunday. Police said the bus ran into a ditch and overturned
00:14near the town of Mesokarestas while heading towards Nairagahaza. The accident happened
00:19at around 1 a.m. local time. Dashcam footage showed emergency vehicles with flashing lights
00:26at the crash site shortly after the accident. State news agency MTI said there were 57 passengers
00:32and two drivers on the bus. Initial police findings indicated that the driver had fallen
00:37asleep at the wheel during the overnight journey. The driver was subsequently arrested. In a Facebook
00:43post, Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar expressed his sincere condolences to the families
00:50of the victims and thanked emergency services involved in the rescue operation.
