Jorge MartĂn’s “shoulder down” is his signature riding maneuver where he hangs off his motorcycle so intensely that his leather-clad shoulder literally drags across the asphalt. While modern MotoGP riders regularly drag their knees and elbows to gauge cornering limits, MartĂn takes body positioning to a radical extreme by scraping his upper arm and shoulder. He first made the move viral while riding the Prima Pramac Racing Ducati GP24. While he uses an aggressive style everywhere, his absolute trademark spot for the full shoulder drag is Turn 5 at the Catalan Grand Prix. The specific combination of corner speed, tight radius, and track camber allows him to drop his center of gravity to the absolute limit. He hits a staggering 60-degree lean angle through this corner, making the bike look completely parallel to the ground.
